Reviews of Aero on 24th
"I lived at Aero on 24th for 3 years and wanted to leave a thorough and honest review to hopefully help out anyone looking to live here. Pros: - great amenities: pool with grills, gym, and clubhouse - they used to have really good events (not as many anymore but they were fun while they lasted) - spacious and modern apartments that come with furniture, TV, balcony, etc - maintenance is super respectful and always does a great job coming as soon as they can and fixing everything thoroughly — they are easily the most professional and helpful staff members at the complex - rent is pretty cheap compared to apartments closer to campus (although parking being $80/month plus utilities kind of negates this) - the apartments are super close (walking distance) to butler plaza for tons of shopping — groceries, food, and more Cons: - extremely poorly constructed apartments. the building materials are clearly very low quality and accumulate wear and tear very easily. additionally, the floors and walls are so thin you can hear people talking, walking, and playing music at all hours of the day at any volume - you must leave at least an hour before your class starts in order to make it there on time using the bus since the stop is not actually outside Aero and only 1 route goes to the Hub — this is a huge waste of time - the staff is not helpful at all, most of them are young and unprofessional and will not answer your questions or accommodate your needs. they give conflicting information, ignore messages, and some are straight up rude when you try to work things out with them. like every other apartment in this city, they have no issue preying on naïve college students and once you sign the lease they no longer care about your experience - like everyone said there is a chance you will not get onsite parking and even if you do it's $80/mo. also, the visitor parking situation is abysmal. there are 10 spots for the entire community, so don’t expect to be able to have friends over - due to low occupancy this year, they had to cut costs, which included security — so there is no longer security on the premises which I find unsettling due to the fact that there has been at least 15 car break-ins since I’ve lived here - poorly maintained grounds — they only clean the breezeways in building 2 since that is where the show apartment is, and ignore the rest of the buildings If you’re thinking of living here, I would say this place is worth it if you don’t care about proximity to campus, noise level, or having visitors over. However, if you like to walk to class, enjoy peace and quiet, and have friends over often, I suggest living somewhere else. Edit: BEWARE that when you sign a lease here, you are agreeing to all their current AND FUTURE “community policies.” I recently had a situation where I contacted them proving they breached my lease agreement contract that was signed in September 2022 for the 2023-2024 school year. They responded with a document that was created in July 2023, almost a year after my lease was signed, that has completely different wording and thus makes what they did technically allowable. They claimed that because I signed a lease, I agreed to all their policies even if they change them after executing the lease. It also says in the lease you can’t pursue legal recourse even if there is a material breach on their end. So, be careful entering into a contract with these people as you are essentially agreeing to any rules they create in the future and have no way to protect yourself."
"Wonderful experience at Aero. Recently moved in and had wonderful experience with the staff. Able to help with what I need and will always be honest with me if it's something they can't solve. I understand there are things out of their control, but I'm appreciative that they try and help out. Would highly recommend!"
"The buildings might be nice but it is so far from campus, they will charge you random fees, the electricity bill will be like $70 a month and I lived with 3 other girls and we were all SUPER conscious about turning off the lights and not using too much electricity. And lastly, the management won’t help at all in case you get charged something by accident and will take FOREVER to fix the problem."
"The unit was pretty clean on move in and had no problems with quick maintenance on essential issues, most things were exactly as expected with very few problems overall. However, two important things of note are 1. (and yes I know everybody else has also mentioned this too) the parking is in fact still atrocious, with an "off site" parking spot in West 20 now costing 40 a month and "on site" parking being a lottery. 2. The fire alarms in the unit are extremely sensitive / placed such that there are a LOT of false positives, so cooking anything that requires the oven, frying / air frying, or high heat on the stove will likely set of the alarms in the unit (not the whole building thankfully) and may disturb your roommates :/ Mostly docking points because there are definitely better options close by without the same caveats."
"My experience here at Aero was nothing but pleasant. I’ve been here since Aero had their first set of residents back in 2020. Parking was the only issue I had living here, but that was when this property was ran by Asset Living and the horrible managers lied and oversold parking. The Scion Group and the management and staff is definitely one of the reasons why my time here at Aero was great. The staff and management here go above and beyond for the residents which I don’t think gets recognized enough. They have steered Aero in the right direction ever since they took over. Please keep in mind that The Scion Group and majority of the staff was not there during construction and did not contribute to construction; it’s not on them. Advice for anyone going into student housing in general: READ YOUR CONTRACTS! Not because Aero is hiding something, it’s because people will get upset over something that’s clearly on the contract and failed to read it when they get hit with a lease violation. If something is wrong or needs to be done, reach out to them with patience and respect. Remember that you’re not the only one who lives in a complex and they have other responsibilities as well but more importantly, they’re human too. If you don’t understand something, go over it with your parents or use Google. It’ll save the time and energy. Other than that, much love the staff here and I wish them the very best."
