"I honestly don't leave reviews but I felt like I had to on this situation. In fact, before applying I failed to read the reviews about Tattersall. If I did, it would saved me from a lot of back and forth and headaches. I toured an apt on 1/20/2024 with Chad, who showed us several units that day. At the end of the Tour, he mentioned some specials that were only available for 3 more applicants if they applied on this day to receive a Move In Special of not paying rent until March. In my case, my move in was around April, so it sounded great. He of course is a Sales person and highly expressed that this unit because of it's location wouldn't last and the special would not be available. I went home and applied for the unit. I was told it would only be $60 application fee and that's it! As I processed the payment it showed an additional $250 Admin Fee was also charged. The system did not once ask me to confirm this charge. When I called Chad and asked him why did this system charge me an additional amount? He was not sure either. I felt like I was tricked into thinking only a $60 charge would be needed. This was not off to a good start. All he could say was he would need to let the Manager know when she was in on Monday. I later read all the bad reviews this property had from Crime (someone getting stabbed in the mailroom) to the never ending issues with the buildings fire alarm system going off and staying on for hours in the middle of the night 2-4am. Residents stating they had to sleep in their cars until the alarm was finally shut off. Also, how unresponsive the office staff was. This was not somewhere I wanted to move to. Yes, the surrounding shops/location makes it look like a good place but in fact. this area is marked as high cases of cars being broken into/stolen. Yes I know crime has no address but these cases were being done more on the property itself....I would think some type of security measure or solution would've happen by now. These reviews go back over a year and nothing has changed! The Fire Alarm issue has not been fixed as well. Now, that I cancelled my application. I was told the $250 will need to be processed through Corporate and they will send out a check. Refunds are not available to be refunded by the same form of payment I was told. Plus, this will take 3-4 weeks till it arrives. It is now 2/20/2024 and no refund. I've been calling for weeks trying to get someone to assist in providing an update. Finally, I reach Chad and he was able to see in the system the check was mailed out but it was mailed out to the wrong address!! I requested this gets fixed asap with the correct address and expedited. I will not wait another month for them to cut another check. Good Luck trying to reach anyone from the office. They never answer. The staff they have are temps. I asked them to provide me with some type of status on what has been done. Still no updates. I hope this review helps someone else not make the same mistake. I had to put a star in order to post this, but it's definitely no star."
"If you’re wanting to move here, this is the review that you’re looking for, do it. With my first year living here, made me want to sign my lease renewal as soon as I was asked. The area you can’t beat it the apartment complex you can’t beat it. My roommates and I had a great time living here 2023 looking forward saddling up for another ride. If you’re in question of signing a lease, do it with a Arianna Chavis, the sweetest and prettiest leasing agent I’ve ran into by far. she’s very professional, perky, and punctual. With her handling any situation I’ve had has been done in a very timely manner. SIGN WITH HER. The pool is nothing but a vibe during the summertime. The walkway behind the property nothing but a vibe. The apartment was worth signing a lease just with a parking garage because who wants to get wet when it’s raining we’re bringing in the groceries?? Just a good area to live in and an even better apartment to live in. Looking forward to another great year! Thank you Tattersall!"
"fire alarm has gone off 3 times in less than 24 hours. I took my last review down after management promised they fixed the ongoing issue with the fire alarms. They have not. They go off AT LEAST once a month. This morning it was 4am when they went off. They weren’t turned off until 5am! Think of all of the animals and children in these apartments. It’s honestly a joke at this point. You would think there is some sort of plan in place to quickly turn off the ear-piercing alarms when it’s a false alarm rather than waiting over an hour! Do better."
"Rayonna in the leasing office was very helpful, organized and friendly and made the move in to Tattersall easy. We have only lived here for 10 days but so far, it has been fine. The community is fairly quiet. Maintenance responded quickly to the few issues we had upon move in. The area is a nice place to walk and even close enough to walk to some restaurants and shops."
"This is the worst place I've ever lived and would not wish it on anyone. Broken AC, broken washer, broken security gates, broken ear piercing fire alarms at 4AM, broken elevators, ant infestation, black mold, stolen/vandalized cars, very poor management/leasing office, grounds are dirty, very thin walls/floors... the list goes on. Management either makes false promises of fixing these things or it takes half a year. The fire alarms have been an ongoing issue for years... it has gone off at least 25+ times in the past year, including numerous times at 4AM. It takes so long for the fire department to get it shut off that we've had to leave the complex. Who needs to sleep or work? They claim they've installed a new alarm system this year, yet the problem persists. There's always a new fix around the corner that doesn't ever fix anything. Our new unit here is a complete disaster... the AC runs constantly and does not cool properly, even when it's 70 degrees at night, running up a huge bill. They have sent an AC tech out here but never actually fixed it. So I guess we're just stuck with a $300-$400 electric bill even though our last unit here was only averaging around $100. The security gates have been broken off and on for years... They're usually left open at night, for weeks/months at a time... leading to numerous stolen vehicles, break ins, and vandalization. Our neighbors license plate and his son's car was also just recently stolen. No security cameras in the garage/hallways. Management says they're looking into getting a courtesy officer but I'm not holding my breath. We've had an ant infestation since moving in. The complex did send out a pest control person twice but hasn't seemed to help. We have put groceries on the counter and ten minutes later there's ant's in the food. Our other neighbors on our floor have the same issue. We found black mold in our laundry room... there was a metal plate placed in front of it, covering it up. The maintenance person came out and just sprayed paint over it, instead of actually cleaning it first... lol. There's probably black mold due to the fact the AC doesn't work and the humidity rises above 70%. The unit also smelled like someone had been smoking in it prior to us moving in... another thing that wasn't disclosed. The grounds are often dirty and filled with litter. The complex does do a good job of keeping the front looking nice for new possible tenants though. The complex often reeks of weed and residents use openly, even at amenities like the pool. My girlfriend and I found a Glock pistol grip in the elevator by our unit which was unsettling... especially seeing there's little to no security here and a murder happened in the mail room 12/2021. In our experience, there is very little to like here. If management actually followed through with their promises to fix issues such as the fire alarms, gates, AC, etc... then I wouldn't be posting this review. The residents here are getting tired of the runaround, false promises, and outright lies. Please don't get stuck here for two years like me."
