"Alight West Tenn is NOT it! I would keep looking if I were you. This apartment DOES NOT deserve a star of any kind unless it’s for the most disgusting apartment complex I've ever stayed in. After dealing with a cockroach infestation and other insects since move-in due to the lack of pest spraying, cleaning before move-in or just the lack of caring about their residents I am officially exhausted. However, it doesn't stop there, the trash disposal areas are sickening, the parking is scarce, the staff doesn't mind if there are other people living with current roommates FOR FREE which just adds to there not being any space in the fridge, not being able to find a time to do laundry, cook, etc. Having to share a space 24/7 with a person that doesn't live there or pays rent is frustrating enough but after calling the office and speaking to the manager about the situation MULTIPLE times is even more frustrating that the problem is still going on with ALL the other complaints. Thank you, Alight West Tenn, for being such a disappointment."
"By far the worst apartment I've ever lived in and definitely not worth the price. I can write a whole essay, but they are not reasonable at all. Even when these poor reviews are made, it is clear that they respond with the same copy and pasted apologies. They don't hold themselves accountable for anything. Even when a situation is clearly their fault, they will not admit it. They barely pick up the phone, the wifi is terrible, you don't have complete access to your packages, it is not the closest apartment to FAMU, and to top it all off, I'm paying around $640 a month. I have had to leave my apartment for days and stay with friends at neighboring apartments because of how bad the bug issue was here. The environment isn't the safest either. I've heard several fights and gun threats since I've been here. Alight West Tenn, save the careless apology and do better by those who live here. I've had to pay late fees for things that were the office's fault. For those who do plan on staying here regardless of the bad reviews, if you aren't financially supported by someone else, I highly recommend that you find a good paying job and do your best to balance that and school. I've lived here for over a year so far and have been getting majority of my food from FAMU's food pantry because most of my money goes toward rent. Rent to stay in a bug infested apartment with bad wifi and staff who seem to only be in it for the money."
"I would not recommend. The community is awful; the outside is smelly and there is definitely a bug problem there. The trash compactor area is a mess. Their security is basically non-existent. If you ever have a guest over, they will most likely get their cars towed even if they are parked in a guest spot. They say that the best way to contact them is through the portal and through email but it takes them forever to answer if they ever do get back to you. The apartments are not great quality. We had a problem with our fire alarms and they were never fixed despite my roommate putting in the maintenance request. The washing machine was broken when we moved in and it took almost 3 months for them to finally get around to fixing it. If you damage a small part of the carpet, they make you pay for the whole thing as it's their "policy" to replace the whole thing when not even a square foot of it gets damaged. Water flooded into my room from the apartment above. At the time, I was gone for a few weeks and I was not notified of it so when I came back to my room, I saw a that everything was pushed to one side of my room and a few of my posters were mildly damaged. I was lucky that the water didn't damage any of my important belongings. Overall, they don't care about you or your living situation. They just want your money."
"I signed a mutual termination agreement stating that I didn't have to pay because this was due to Alight staff errors. First I was told that I could take my guarantor off of my profile, then I was told to find somewhere else to live. After speaking with two supervisors(one who was incredibly rude) I was told I would only have to sign the agreement and I would be free to leave as another guy needed to be moved in immediately. This has escalated too far and I've been trying to solve this since June. I need to speak with a manager. I sent this email after receiving no replies for my other two, leaving a message, and speaking with 80% of the staff. Don't move here, they just want your money. Roach issues and a small room. EDIT: After a week, they responded to my review(10 minutes ago) and told me to call the same number I've called numerous times. I did hoping that a response meant the manager was in, but apparently, he won't be in until next Monday. This place is a joke and a scam. Don't trust them with your money. Hopefully, I won't be forced to take legal action."
"I used to live here forever ago. It truly wasn't great but I did make good friends here. My most current issue is that the management team here DOES NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. My call is simple and wouldn't take long to execute but they are unreachable. When I lived here, it wasn't like this. Idk what happened between now and then, but this is not okay. You can't have people who are in your community being unable to reach you by call or email. Dropping to 1 star. I ABSOLUTELY love how you replied to my review before replying to my emails or bothering to call me back. Good on you for trying to keep up your quotas but quality matters."
