Reviews of Creekside Park Apartments
"The fantastic management and facilities team are what makes this place great. I've lived in many apartments and all of them have their pros and cons, apartment living is never great, but the staff here are exceptional and quick to resolve issues. I have read the other reviews, even the negative ones, and I have to say that this has not been our experience. The apartments are nice and larger than usual for the price. The parking is fine, there is not a lot of overflow, but there does seem to be room for everyone fairly close to your door. The grounds are kept very well, and the maintenance team is second to none. The maintenance requests are always handled quickly, and more to the point, done correctly. We have never had a problem with roaches (we are on the ground floor) and if you doo see one, let the office know and you can get sprayed within a week. There are some cats outside, but only a few and they have never been a problem. The complex itself is fairly quiet and easy to be in. You will always have a few rowdy neighbors or loud kids, but this is rare. We hear the most noise on the weekends, but it doesn't last too long. When you have a lot of people living in a small area, you cant expect to have control over everything, as some people seem to think. The front office staff is peerless, polite and engaging. Absolutely the best I have ever experienced. Ariel and Co. have a good handle on what needs to be done and they are excellent at their jobs. If you need an apartment, I would whole-heartedly recommend Creekside Park Apartments."
"After my Credit was stolen via multiple breaches, I went to all 3 credit bureaus to fix what the thieves took. I have all my receipts from over 7 years being at my current location in which I have never been late and paid at times 6 months ahead. Also I have proof of the theft of my credit information police report, FTC report, and more. But after telling the Management not to call my current Landlord for fear of forcing me to sign another lease before I moved, they did indeed called my landlord even after I told them not to and provided my receipts. Then Maryland Management turned me down for credit reasons which I personally have never missed a payment with no one, and then my current landlord pushed me to sign a NEW LEASE! Stay away from these people!!!"
"A few reasons why we are moving out and would never recommend this place. The first being the absolute crazy amount of stray cats that have overrun the apartment complex. I’ve counted about 30-40 cats, maybe more. I’ve been here two years and never once have seen the office try to fix this problem. They say you will be evicted if you feed or associate with the cats. So we’re just suppose to live and walk by starving sick cats every day. There’s a stray cat that “lives” outside my building specifically that attacks my dog every time we leave and try to go down the stairs. I’ve told multiple people, office employees and maintenance about it and at first they laughed thinking it was “cute” to watch the cat mess with my dog. I was told “we will take care of it” but that was 8 months ago. If my dog gets hurt by the cat then who is going to pay the vet bill? I just want to walk my dog in peace and I haven’t been able to do that at all. It’s honestly animal cruelty to let these cats live like this. There once was a stray dog that was outside another building for 2 weeks. It was sick with mange and starving. I called the office and they said “we know”. They didn’t try to help the dog or have it picked up. I was the one who had to rescue the dog, risking my dogs health. I once came home to maintenance men in my apartment, which is okay because I needed a repair, but when I opened the door one of the maintenance men had a box of mine open looking in it and said the words “I knew that was gonna happen” to the other maintenance man standing there. We ended up having to get a camera. So that’s more money we had to spend. A small dog was killed outside my building a couple weeks ago by a pit bull. I have no issues with pits but there are breed restrictions here that no one follows and the office doesn’t enforce. When I registered my dog with them when I moved in, I had to give them so much paperwork and even have my vet fax and email them to prove bailey was an approved breed but I guess no one else has had to do that. My dog was friends with the dog that was killed and it was very hard on everyone in my building. We never once heard from the office about this. Another dog issue is no one picks up their dogs poop. I can point out probably hundreds of basically mummified piles of poops because dog owners leave it there and maintenance and office workers just ignore it. I called the office to see if we could get the piles cleared out by my building and it never happened. I had to call the police because a guy was shooting at the cats and threatened to shoot me when I yelled at him that doing that was illegal and cruel to the cats. The office did support me in this and to my knowledge the man was forced to leave. The one treadmill in the gym has been broken the entire time i’ve lived here 2 years and just keep being told “we ordered a part to fix it”. The pool has been closed more than it has been opened. Our lease is up in a couple months and I cannot wait to leave this place."
"Do not rent here! There are too many reasons to list but I will just name a few. I was constantly killing cockroaches in my apt even though I was on the third floor and they would spray for bugs but it’s okay because “they’re harmless.” The pool was hardly ever open in the summer because the residents (and really people from all over the local area) would trash it with beer bottles and soda cans. At least the park was always open. On top of that, people let their dogs poop everywhere so that was a real treat; but the sidewalks are white so at least you can see the poop on the sidewalk. Also the complex is home to over a dozen feral cats. The only thing I can praise Creekside for is their maintenance team. They were always friendly and prompt. But even they can’t save this place. The complex is so LOUD at night. You will be woken up in the middle of the night often by loud music, people revving their engine, and fights in the parking lot. You can’t go outside or open your windows without secondhand smoking weed (this could be a pro for some). Rent is also significantly raised every year. The last rent hike was another $100 a month. Logistically, you have to navigate the most traffic-congested area of Jacksonville pretty much every time you leave your apt. Be prepared for every trip to take 30+ minutes, even if the destination is just down the road. Military members also please note that they will not accommodate short fused orders or the demanding schedule that the military sometimes requires of you. They will lie and say they can just to get you to sign the lease. There are so many better, less sketchy places to spend your BAH. This complex is owned by Maryland Management. Go check out their google reviews if you want an idea of what your getting into."
"Our experience with this community has been amazing. From the moment we walked into the office until we moved into our apartment, everything was professional and the most respectful. The community is quiet, we feel safe and there are many amenities which we enjoy very much. Any time we request work to be done in our apartment, it is done promptly and with the most excellent of skill. We are very happy living here!"
