"Worst place in the world to live. Management team is the worse. Had a problem with the stove sparking and catching on fire causing lights to ho out. Called overnight maintenance and laughed at me asking if we paid the electric bill. Roach infested. Rent goes up 100's of dollars after lease is up. Cut our garden after planting saying to us oops we're sorry and dont want to reimburse us for all the flowers we planted. Stay away and run. Truly disgusting."
"I currently reside in Cypress Gardens Apartments and I am counting down the minutes until my lease is up. I lived here years ago when it was Riverlake, and whoever took over this place has done nothing but turned it into a decrepit Hooverville. The staff in the Office are indifferent, lazy and very unprofessional. They let things slip through the cracks and you have to pester them relentlessly to make sure they follow through on anything; from basic repairs to making sure paper work and leasing information is properly documented and filed, as well as making sure they disclose all fees to you upon move in. There are still simple fixes that they told me would be done months ago upon my moving in that remain unattended to. There is a problem with German Roaches that I experience, as well as a few friends who live here in different buildings have experienced as well. The residents speed through on their cars, they blast music in the middle of the night, they smoke pot out in the open like it's just another thing. The prices are utterly outrageous for the quality of services provided and the state of the complex itself. DO NOT move here unless you are so indescribably desperate that you've no other choice. If you do end up moving in, make sure you keep track of everything, including simple interactions with Management. I will do anything in my power to stop people from experiencing the apocalyptic level of negligence and incompetence that has become the default routine of how this place is "managed", starting with this review. I am updating this review as of 6/19/2017. Despite the name change, and attempts at giving this place a face-lift, all the same problems still remain. I've been kicked out of bed by noisy tenants (Music) 5 times in the last month and have called, yet they refuse to enforce their own rules. They installed a new Air Conditioning in my unit, and while doing so, cut a huge hole in my wall that has yet to be repaired. It's been there over a month. Do not be fooled by the name change and landscaping. This place is still the same. Give your money and time to a quieter and more rewarding complex. These people will just take your money and ignore the actual needs of the honest, paying tenants."
"The leasing agents are incompetent to the extreme! We told them when we moved in we wanted a hornets' nest removed, it remains 8 months later. Their late fee is $150 a day! We let them know we have a dog, they don't write it into our lease. We get a nasty note due to their ineptitude. They got rid of their rent drop box. The list goes on and on. Avoid this complex like the plague!"
"RUN FAR AWAY. There are plenty of other places to stay in the area! Terrible management. Don't try to call them if you have an issue, because they are rude and will hang up on you, and then they don't answer the phone when you call back. Pool was closed for 9 out of 12 months that I lived here, paying rent is a nightmare. I lived here for 8 months at the time, and randomly one day my car got towed an hour before I had to leave for work, and I had to call in to work, and then go pay $200 to get my car back and management couldn't have cared less, not even an apology. Cars get their windows smashed out and broken into. The grass gets knee high before it is cut. Etc. etc. etc. I could go on for days about how terrible it is here. Again, stay far away!"
"The management staff at this appartment complex is a joke. They are completely unorganized. I signed my lease amd paid all my money only to get a notice 2 weeks later that I owed more money or I was going to be evicted. Turns out it was their mistake because they dont communicate with each other. It took 2 weeks and me going to the office again to get it situated Because Milton did not call back as promises and then forgot amd never spoke to the woman in charge about the issue. It also turns out that even after signing my lease...I was told incorrect numbers and I ended up owing more money. I could have complained and fought, but I just paid it. Now, they want to charge me $150 for being one day late with rent. Obviously ots ok for them to mess up and then I have to pay, but then I miss rent by one day...$150 or eviction. Oh amd by the way...the professional way that they deliver news to theor tennants is to fold up sheets of paper and stick them in the knockers on the doors. Where anyone could just walk by and take it. Oh...and the only way to pay rent is on the website, we cant write checks anymore, so if the website isnt working, and this does happen, it is impossible to pay rent until it comes back up. Oh amd make sure you get a copy of your lease when you sign it, I had to go ask for one because they are such a joke that they dont give you a copy at the signing. To be specifix i talking about Milton and Rocio. Terrible customer service and organization. If i could get out of my lease and move out of this place, I would do it jus to not have to deal with these incompetant people anymore. They also claim they are going to try to evict me when i said I was not paying the late fee. Being as I am still the customer here, I would think they would try to do something to make me happy. I worked with them when they made mistakes...obviously thats not reciprocated. Steer clear of doing business with Cypress Gardens appartments and the company that owns them, The Michelson Group."
