"This complex offers short-term rentals through various rental websites listed as: "FRONTDESK 1910 E 7th Ave Apts Historic Ybor Tampa" I used them during the most recent hurricane. It's very nice, but the ads on the rental websites are very misleading. This review is ONLY for unit #207 as I didn't stay in the other units. I was immediately disappointed when I discovered this unit was on the ally side of the complex, not 7th street as the pictures inferred. Units 206 207, and 208 all face the ally, and the balcony was very dirty and overlooked a parking lot, NOT the exciting vibe of 7th Street in Ybor City that I was hoping for. The unit itself was very nice. My only criticism would be the water pressure, especially in the bathroom. The sink barely has any water flow (see the picture that shows both hot and warm fully open). It has a very "corporate apartment' vibe, which is always a bit weird... I think the illusion that hotels create is that the place is brand new and you're the first person to ever stay there. 3-Star or higher hotels go out of their way to create this impression, this place failed on that goal. When I arrived there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher which was sort of gross. The other annoyance was that it appears they did the bare minimum to furnish the place. The headboard for the bed just sits on the floor between the wall and the mattress which means every time you move in the bed, you hear the headboard banging against the wall. There is no way to sleep through this unless you take some towels and pad the headboard in between the wall (see the picture). The artwork was hung so haphazardly and crooked it drives someone like me with mild OCD crazy looking at it. If you plan on using the laundry facilities, they don't use quarters; they use tokens that you have to purchase on a machine. My advice would be to buy the tokens the moment you arrive; you'll need about $7 for 2 loads of laundry. I, unfortunately, waited until the morning of my checkout and the token machine ran out of tokens after I bought enough for the wash cycle. And the management company never responded until after I had checked out, which means I had to take 2 loads of laundry with me to my office, and hang dry all my clothes - wildly inconvenient, but a bit humorous for my staff to see my laundry hanging all over my office. My biggest complaint though isn't about the amenities, I would have likely still given a 5-star rating. My biggest complaint was the management company, Front Desk which handles the bookings regardless of what website you choose to book a stay. When I was renting this, it was during Hurricane Ian, I had a lot to transport into the apartment even though I had only rented it for 3 days because I didn't know how hard we were going to get hit. I asked if they would be open to me checking in early and they responded with the exact same response they used when I rented another place from the same company. They said the unit had been occupied the day before and that the cleaning crew was still cleaning, but they asked the cleaning crew to message me the moment it was available. This was a lie. I know it was a lie because I heard the exact same line in a previous rental and they never called, and I arrived early anyway and there was no cleaning crew in sight, nor were there any telltale signs that a cleaning crew had been there like the scent of fresh cleaning products. That type of inconsideration (especially during a hurricane) was just rude and they could have chosen a better way to handle it. Hell, even just saying, "Nope, not possible. Deal with it." would have been more appreciated than a disingenuous comment that gave me false hope. This, along with the misleading photos giving me the impression that it was on 7th Street lead me to go to a 4-star vs. 5. Would I rent there again though? Yes. I would just make sure to request one of the other units that exist on 7th street."
