"Great place to live. It's very quiet and well managed. When you have an issue maintenance is quick to respond. Brenda in the office is great and Carlos in maintenance is very polite and knowledgeable."
"I have lived here five months now and have had a wonderful experience with the attentiveness and responsiveness of the staff in dealing with the routine and abnormal problems that arise. My maintenance requests have all been handled within one business day, to my satisfaction. The common areas are tended, with any issues with the subcontracted work addressed. People are people, so the few and infrequent problems of fellow residents have been handled professionally and attentively. I quite enjoy this quiet, clean, safe complex."
"Full disclosure: I’ve owned many apartments and have a good knowledge of both tenants and landlords. And, the pics are not augmented. Now the unbiased review: We have loved, loved living here, it’s a place to chill. It’s a long term apartment plex and feels like a five star resort. Brenda and her responsive staff are wonderful and live here. All the apartments/homes I saw are beautiful, for the price, and very quiet on a secure island… Island paradise living at its best! I built a house and it was time to move on. Bittersweet. I’m going to miss the family feel and beauty of Snell Isle Apartments. (Brenda, thank you for the warm and continuous welcome; you’re a gem, like your apartments. Bravo!) I’ve read the negative reviews and can only surmise they may not be from good, experienced, likable nor positive folks. I’m obligated to defend this beautiful place: I moved in a month after I signed the lease, that’s how much I wanted to live here. Yes, there were palmetto bugs, this is Florida, but we took it upon ourselves to spend $26. for traps and powders, kept the apartment clean and didn’t see any since. We only needed to contact the office once about a problem we caused and they could not have been better & @ N/C. For the location, friendliness, security, beauty, etc, you won’t find a better home for the price, particularly since vast majority of the other homes on the island are worth millions. We’ve been everywhere in St Petersburg and this is the most luxurious neighborhood living."
"My experience in attempting to rent a more affordable apartment under the $3100 I was previously paying for a one bedroom downtown was a very negative and stressful experience. Lisa, the leasing agent didn’t listen to my initial needs and didn’t send the specific info I needed in time to make my decision, which resulted in them renting out the apartment I wanted and having to go for a slightly more expensive one (still very cheap - likely because the units are extremely out dated and the only pro is the lower price point and being by the water). I wanted to look here because I have two friends who live in the complex and I just bought a rental property out of state and am looking to buy in St. Pete next so I don’t need to be throwing my money into a higher rent for a one bedroom. After losing the apartment I requested, I was then challenged about the weight of my dog who is an ADA service animal, which had already been discussed (and quickly forgotten?), so I responded promptly with his documentation. The final disappointment came when they were reviewing my income. It’s important to note that I am going through treatment right now so I’m trying to handle all this back and forth with them and despite them saying they understand…they clearly didn’t care. I have only been able to commit to a job that pays around $50k/year since January 2023 as I’m unable to run my business right now and have appreciated having great benefits at this time. I let them know I was bringing in around $10k/month with my business in 2021 & 2022, which I have proof of but until I’m back to St. Pete from treatment in Illinois and have a place to move into, I can’t start up my business until then. I also sent documentation of royalties I receive 2x a year and told them the balance of my healthy 6 figure brokerage/savings account. They told me the only way I would potentially be accepted is if I paid a full year up front. All that effort for a pretty low-grade apartment with all carpeted flooring, a depressing little kitchen, and the tiniest bathroom imaginable. As I said, I was ready to commit to this place because I would have had some friend support nearby, the apartment faced the water (not the beach, just the bay), and the rent was only $2100. Needless to say, I believe I dodged a bullet and thankfully there are several other complex’s in far better condition with a more competent leasing staff."
"I’ve lived here just over 6 years and adore living here. It’s beautiful and I love being able to take pics. (sharing some but have so many more that I could bore people, lol.) The staff is beyond amazing; Brenda & Bo are excellent. Maintenance is amazing. I rarely have an issue but when I do it’s taken care of & I’m appreciative. Once when I had an issue with my washer & it couldn’t be solved quickly; Brenda & Bo made sure I didn’t go without. Unfortunately 2 of the best maintenance people have or are leaving. I hope to stay when my renewal comes up next year. I just hope it’s not astronomical. I think the company values longevity & loyalty in residents as this is what helps to make a strong community. If the past couple years have shown us anything it’s that we all need a strong community."
