"I booked a Destin Vacations at Patti Place, I had troubles and requested support to change the date or to have a less guest department, She was very rude and hardly answer, as I could not get any support, I was at the department as per my booking. When I arrive the depto, with my mom 85 years, my three kids 4 -5-8 , nobody gave me the code of the door, neither anwered the phone. After 2 hours she mentioned that department will be cleaned and ready in 2 hours. I requested the money back and the answer was not. I had to add a fraude in the debit card, today I receive my Usd 1031.00 back. Be careful!"
"I wouldn't even leave one star but I had to leave something. With so many condos available and many different property management companies available within Silver Shells, DO NOT book through Beachview Vacation Rentals if you're looking for decent customer service. Yes, there is STILL mold in the master shower that they have tried to cover up with caulking and they DO NOT check to be sure the previous renters actually washed the pots and pans before returning the dishes to the cabinets.I spent time cleaning out the coffee maker that was filled with grease. Really, for a 4 night stay, they provide one trash bag? AND DO NOT expect the property manager to treat you like a paying customer when needing basic amenities and worse, the person at this company who responds to your text message will make you feel horrible for asking for the simplest requests. The condo is very outdated but the views are great but these are a common at Silver Shells so , do your research and rent through a different and more accommodating management company. We have stayed at Silver Shells for several years that have been filled with great memories but this was the one and only time we booked through Beachview. Don't make the same mistake we did."
"If I can give them a ZERO I would. Horrible experience. They substituted our rented unit on a short notice and provided an unacceptable and sub par alleged comparable. Our original unit was a beach front and gulf view unit that was substituted with one facing a parking lot and located 300 yards from the beach. Based on their own Rules and Regulations a refund is fully warranted if comparable substitution is not available on their site and substitution is made by the Merchant.===RULE 28. Substitute of Accommodations & Availability: Occasionally, a property which has been reserved will not be available for reasons beyond our control. When that happens, BVR reserves the right to substitute comparable accommodations. If comparable accommodations are not available, you will have the option of selecting from our available properties at the published rate or receiving a complete refund of your reservation deposit.=== Despite their own rules they now refuse to honor their own rules and refuse the refund. Buyer Beware !! Stay away from this fraudulent Merchant. Its a total scam with last minute bait and switch tactic. DO NOT RENT from them. Even the Unit owners complain of their dishonest behavior."
"DO NOT LET THEASE PEOPLE MANAGE YOUR HOME!!!!!!! I have had a horrible experience with this management company over the last 6 yrs. after repeadly venting my issues they continue to fail. Getting worse every year. I finally turned in my 90 day notice April 2017 as my contract stated and have been held hostage for my $500deposit. The finally sent my aug stmt on 10-20-17. They charged and deducted for all my linens and 4 spreads from my deposit. They even tried to get my rent deposit back from my bank. Wow, really!!!! I started with towels, sheets, spreads, blankets and pillows!!! ( for 7 beds) Seems terribly unfair to be charged again for something I started with considering I pay $120 mtly for a linen fee. I was even told from former employees that they stripped every unit that terminated with them......and I speak from experience..... yes they do. They need to be put out of business. Hard to really pursue legal counsel over linens and $500 and this is why they do this to people. Do not let them manage your home. They will not care for it. You will arrive to missing, broken items, dirty wood floors, damaged walls and stairs, draperies half hanging and torn, dishes broken and replacing good appliances with cheap appliances, sand in the tub, beds half made (Meaning a child could make there bed better than this). I bought nice Down pillows and blankets for my 7 Bed home and 2 months later when I returned for a visit they were ALL gone. Such a shame.... you try to put nice things in your home to welcome your guest and make their stay memorable and they get taken. My bose system is always unhooked and I have to spend a lot to get a person to hook back up now it doesn’t work $6000 down the drain...... and no they take no responsibility ( this is tenant damage) They charge each guest a damage ins and fee and they keep it and then bill the owner and the guest both to replace......DOUBLE dipping ... broken furniture lamps, chairs. Bogus repair charges that never take place and for the amount under $300 each time so they don’t have to call you first. Bids for maint painting are off the chart. $30,000 to paint inside of the house and $32,000 to paint the outside. WOW. They don’t even check the repairs to see that they were even done. I had a hot water heater replaced recently upon my arrival I looked in the closet and discovered yes it is new and pan new but the pan is too small and the overflow hangs over the pan. Lol. This means the water hits the house and not inside the pan. These repair people will not come back and fix..... I paid to have a tv hung in a bedroom and they billed me and 7 months later I arrived and nothing was hanging. Then next trip it still wasn’t fixed. Finally a man came to fix Finch co. In destin. Which I don’t recommend either. And I told him to move the power outlet so cords were hide and send me picture when finished and he said ok. He sent no pictures but turned in a almost $400 bill they paid him out of my rent money and when I came back 6 months later guess what... the cords are still showing. I paid twice to hang tv almost $600. That is way too expensive. I have a much longer list than this. This isn’t my only beach rental. I have never experienced such bad behavior and bogus expensive charges Everything this company touches goes bad. I have even received 2 calls from service people stating that they never received payments for their work and were being ignored by the company. I worked hard (2-3 jobs ) for my investment. They just don’t really care. I sincerely hope this helps someone out there. I hate having to write such horrible things about a company but they deserve it. Hope this might help save someone some heartache."
"As a owner of a home being managed by this company for over 8 yrs my rentals have decreased and the expenses have continually increased with unnecessary charges to me. I have repeatedly requested the company to provide me with receipts for the maintenance of my home and for the replacement of items they said they replaced. ie... lines, cookware etc. without any response. I gave them a 90 Day notice of my not renewing our contract. I recently changed management companies and they refused to refund my deposit and actually charged me undocumented fees stating I owed them money. They have removed bedding of 4 beds without my knowledge and refuse to return. I would strongly urge any homeowner or any potential renter of any of their properties to take heed of this warning... they are unfair to both homeowners and renters."
