"First of, where can I start! I had a bunch of issues with my books and I admit, it was very messy, and Tania took her time to take care of two years of bookkeeping cleanup for me in less than 3 months ! She also helped tremendously in providing me accounting letters and accounting reports to help me buy my dream home . In the process I learned that keeping an accountant for my business In the long run it’s the best and cost effective way to go to keep my books up to date and getting information on time. Now I have no issues getting the info I need anytime for my business. I also use her company to do my business taxes and so far so good.She is the most educated, kind and professional accountant I know. If anyone says otherwise I’m pretty sure they were the problem. There’s always two sides to every story. It’s so easy to overlook quality work but she was on point with everything . She’s the best thing I did for my business . I am so grateful for her"

"This experience started off fantastic. Tania was super friendly and accommodating. However things quickly went sour. After paying nearly $1,000 for bookkeeping clean-up, business taxes, and regular monthly accounting, fast forward to 4 months later, not one task I hired her for was completed. Even after explaining at length how much of a strict timeline I was on for grant funding applications. She planned on continuously charging me $300 per month for accounting work without completing the book cleanup first. I couldn't understand what she was continuously charging me for when what I originally paid for wasn't even done first. While she did accommodate to stop the auto debit until she could catch up, this was an even worse mistake on my part. My company got shoved under a pile so she could prioritize her other clients. I asked for my 2020 numbers and she sent a copy pasted line item from an excel spreadsheet into an email. Each month's numbers were wrong. I had to manually go through and balance out the books myself just to figure out where on earth the numbers came from. I kept pressing for my monthly P & Ls and I received 2 pages with wrong information. When I asked what was going on, she told me she "passed my info" to her new assistant to complete.... I didn't hire, approve, nor was I even told that her new "assistant" would be working on my sensitive financial information. She didn't even check his work to make sure things were accurate before sending them to me. What if I had trusted those numbers and they were sent to the IRS? She literally took my paperwork, bank statements, etc and just handed them over to someone else. As a small business owner myself, I completely understand the need to hire staff as well as how overwhelming rapid growth can be. However, under no circumstances should my information be passed onto another associate without at least communicating that to me first. Then to send those numbers without even verifying that they were correct? It's unacceptable. There really is no excuse for this type of work to take 4 months from an industry professional. I finally gave up and told her I would be terminating our contract. I expected a full refund. Rightfully so considering she was happy to take my money but not complete anything. She explained I would only be receiving a partial refund because of "the work that has been done thus far". What work? She didn't complete anything and her assistant had no idea what he was doing. I am not discrediting the efforts she put forth and believe me, I am grateful for the partial refund, but the poor ethical standards should be taken into consideration when deciding whether or not to hire this firm. Not only am I back to square one, I don't have any idea what's been done. I asked for verification that she did indeed file an extension for my taxes and I have yet to receive anything. I don't have one financial document completed and no proof, no verification, absolutely nothing to show for the money that was kept! I was referred to this company directly from Quickbooks. Clearly they are not vetting out who they are referring so be weary using their resources guide. I also hired Tania based on the 5 star reviews on Google so you can imagine my frustration with this ordeal. No small business owner should ever have to experience something like this. MTD Accounting & Bookkeeping will not manage their time efficiently. It's a shame because Tania was so nice and cheerful! Unfortunately, this just isn't enough. I do not recommend this company for your accounting needs."

I often take for granted that he always responds, almost instantly, to every call or email. Tania has always given us the best strategy to work toward and she follows up.
