"If you had asked me to rate Proffesional Accounting LDC, 7 years ago. I would have given them 5 stars. However over the years their services and professionalism have been declining RAPIDLY. I filed my taxes on February 9th 2016. After calling the IRS on April 2nd 2016 almost 2 months after filing, (Refund takes up to 21 days without issues) the IRS told me a refund was not file. So I called Professional Accounting to speak with Lena. Another woman name Linda took the call and message stating she would return my call.... never did. So I call again maybe 3 hours later stating the IRS said my return was never filed. Again i could not speak to Lena a message was taken that Lena would call me back and send a confirmation email that she got from IRS to my email the same night and my taxes was flaged for medical expenses ... SHE NEVER CALLED OR SEND EMAIL. Monday when I called the IRS the representative told me my taxes was submitted on April 2nd 2016. Now I did not believe the IRS would lie to me so I drove over to professional Accounting to speak to Lena. The same lady Linda told me "Lena is not there and she's not sure Lean will want to speak to me". My response was whether she wants to speak to me or not its a paid service I paid $159 to have my taxes prepared and this is a customer's service. I deserve an explanation of what happened with my taxes. Of course I sat and waited 3 hours to speak to Lean kept sending the office staff with my questions @ this point all I wanted was the confirmation email from IRS that my taxes was submitted......NEVER GOT IT. All sorts of excuses our system doesn't work that way.... we don't get confirmation emails. And then a piece of paper with the the filing number that they assigned not IRS. Stating my taxes were filed on February 12th 2016. Now we moved from February 9th to Feburary 12th. Then Linda came out to tell me in a very RUDE TONE I cannot get an email until Tuesday April 5th of the confirmation from IRS because "the girl who does the email is not there now and will be in tomarrow". Now if you were following the story closey there are several lies... about when the taxes was submitted. Whether or not I can get a confirmation email the IRS sent them. So after leaving the office I called IRS again. Another representative confirmed my taxes were filed on April 2nd. Lena needs to deal with problem like this by talking directly to the customer, apologize if the issue was the fault of her company and put the clients mind @ ease by giving them the email confirmation from the IRS that the customer is entitled to. That's all, its called damage control. While in the office there was another client that was very distraught about how she was treated, she also had a problem Lena did not speak or address her directly. Linda came out with papers for her to sign was very rude about it asking "are you going to sign this or not". Very demeaning.... Now is this the sort of service I am paying for? After 7 years I am extremely disappointed. These people have no idea what a customer service relationship means. Lena has so much potential, very pleasant lady @ least when you are in front of her doing your taxes. That's what makes this experience so painful. I really thought if there was a problem honesty and integrity would play a big part. How can I trust them with my very sensitive and important information when you get treated like crap abd cannot get a straight answer or explanation about what occurred?"
"We scheduled an appointment with Lena and had to wait three hours in the lobby (6:30-9:30pm). This was a huge inconvenience, but we remained patient and refrained from bringing it to the attention of the staff. By the time our wait was over, Lena tried to avoid speaking to us by having her staff collect our documents and proceeded with filing our taxes without any interaction. This, of course, led to some errors and confusion with our filing because there was zero communication. I'm highly tech-savvy, so if I didn't need the one-on-one interaction with an account (to ask questions), I could have effortlessly filed my taxes through TurboTax. I wasn't going to leave this negative review until I realized she charged an additional $20 for our service because she had to spend 15 minutes of her time speaking to her clients. This charge does not exist with any other accountant that I've done business with. I brought this charge up to Lena's sister, and her sister explained that she has been working with Lena for years and still doesn't understand how Lena does her pricing. If you decide to file your taxes here, make sure you only get charged $89 if you're an independent with no dependents and $139 if you're an independent with one dependent. They WILL try to charge you more even if you're patient and nice to them. Lena does come off as a sweet person on the surface, but this is extremely unprofessional behavior and a very shady business practice. I will not be filing my taxes here ever again, and I do not recommend her to anyone. I'm sorry, Lena, but I have to be completely honest here. I hope you enjoy the extra $20."
"This is hands down the BEST place to get your taxes done! Ive been coming here for 8 years and it has always been an incredible family oriented and friendly experience. Lena and her staff are extremely welcoming and helpful! This is my go to place....period! Plus she always has awesome goodies that she gives her clients each year! Lena you are an F'n Rockstar!"
"I was referred here by my boyfriend & his family. From beginning to end my experience left me disappointed. To start with, while sitting down with the owner to start the filing process my boyfriend & I both advised her that we were interested in the refund advance, as we were experiencing an emergency situation. She gave us the details of how the loan works, but never actually processed either of ours. In their defense, they said that we didn't check off the box for the advance on the paperwork they gave us when walking in. To which I say, if I am new to your office & am unaware of your business practices, why would I check a box when I'm not clear on how the service works? I spoke to the owner again concerning this matter a couple of days later. I told her that I thought her business was shady because, as a paying customer, her office did not do well in ensuring that my boyfriend & I completely understood their procedures. She became defensive & somewhat emotional, rather than assist in coming up with a solution, which is what any reputable, customer-oriented business would do. That same day she stated that she would put my boyfriend's loan through...needless to say, he never received it. I've never filed my taxes with a company & left wishing that I hadn't. You can surely bet that I will NOT be bringing them my business EVER again. & I'll be sure to spread the word concerning my negative experience. This company apparently doesn't have an effective communication system in place & the owner (after 19 years) seemingly still has not learned to differentiate between business & personal. If you're looking to file your taxes & don't mind being left in the dark & lied to...this is the perfect office to visit! Hope this helps...."
