"I have had a great experience with InCharge. I started the process in August 2019, nine accounts, over 40,000 owed. I am making the 55th and final payment this month. Payments to creditors were seamless. You can easily track payments and progress on the website. They also email you when they withdraw the payment from your account and also when payments are disbursed a few days later. The process of getting started was pretty easy. A 30 minute phone interview and some documents to sign. They negotiated the rates for all cards down to between 0% and 9%. Fee was a flat $50 per month, which was well worth it considering the money saved in interest and the service they provided. Customer support was good although I only reached out to them a couple times over the 4.5 years. Make sure to schedule the payment 5-7 days in advance of your soonest due date (otherwise adjust the due dates). Also…. some companies will just not agree to put you on a DMP ( I had a couple). I appreciate InCharge - If I had not reached out to them I am pretty certain I would not have paid down my debt."
"I had one credit card (us bank) with a balance of $3438 that charged off in Feb of 2022. I was referred to this company by US Bank. I set up an account and amount and began paying with automatic withdrawals non-stop with this company since then for 2 years straight. InCharge closed my account stating that my card had charged off??? Like what? Of course it charged off 2 YEARS ago and that is why I was with you to pay the balance off!!! They had been taking their $20.70 fee out every month along with the payment and so they basically were absolutely no help to me. I would have saved that $20 a month fee for 2 years and handled the debt on my own if I knew what a sham this company is. Your supposed to help people pay their debt off not close their account with no notice for a reason that makes no sense. I learned my lesson in more ways than 1. I now have no credit card debt and will only use my cards for emergencies, and I would recommend that anyone thinking of using these types of companies to use as an absolute last resort because they can leave you hanging!"
"Called to consolidate medical bills and cc accounts they didn’t add any of my medical bills/ debt collection accounts. The main reason I called. Update: I was able to add my medical accounts and collections manually through their website. I was instructed to pull credit report from the 3 main credit report companies in order to find all accounts, however they were not shown on the credit reports."
"At the end of my two years of paying off all debts, my credit score is worse than when I began. InCharge makes it easy to pay the bills, but they often get the balances wrong. Months after paying off an account, I would get a bill from the original debt holder saying I owed something ridiculous like $12.00 or some trivial small number like that. InCharge will tell you its paid off. The owner of the debt will report you to the credit bureau and your credit takes a ding. The only thing they did for me was make it easier to pay bills. It did not improve my credit score, it made it worse. You have to keep on top of them so much that it doesn't seem worth it to me."
