Reviews of David E De Witt & Associates
"Pleasant staff, surroundings, comfortable care and extremely skillful staff. Always a pleasure to be treated there. No hesitation in recommending to any age."
"I have been coming here since I was a toddler. I love this office, small staff, personal and professional atmosphere. I even brought my son here and he loved it. Great place to keep your teeth healthy."
"I don’t know that this is helpful for anyone, but I did want to get it on the record. Dr. Dewitt, still practicing or not, was my first dentist and probably the reason I don’t like them. He could not have known it then, since 40 years or so ago these issues were not foremost, but when I went to my first appointment with him for a cleaning and maybe a filling - I actually still have fillings he did to this day - I had just undergone some trauma that does not bear disclosure here. But he covered my face with the paper napkin, the Novocain shots were terrifying, and when I cried and struggled I distinctly remember that he belittled me and called me a baby. I don’t believe that parents were brought back in the room at that time, or maybe it was his practice to exclude parents. I left there frightened, ashamed, and it took a long time for me to come to grips with injections in particular and dentistry, broadly. I go to the dentist about once every ten years on average in my adult life. I’ve been advised that maybe I need to take a Xanax or something, but Dr. Somerfield - my next dentist after that and Dr. DeWitt’s colleague in Miami Springs at that time - never treated me that way. I may have visited DeWitt twice before I told my mother I did not want to go back there, and I told her that he was mean to me. She agreed. This was 40 years ago and (I hope!) his bedside manner and tone and patience with small children have improved, judging from the reviews. But we laughed then and called him “Dr. DeTWIT”. No offense Doc, but thanks for the fillings and bad feelings. I hope in your career that the good work outweighed these small incidents."
"Dr. David De Witt has been my dentist for the past 19 years and I have nothing but great and positive comments to say about my experience with him, which unfortunately he is no longer working due to health related issues. But now his partner Dr. Raphael Vazana seems to take up higher stand within this dental office. So I needed a root canal to be done right away since i have been in agonizing pain for over a week. and i sat on the dental chair patiently waiting for the doctor to inspect my troubled tooth so I was sending important emails meanwhile. Shortly after the doctor stands next to me as I am closing my email and he has the audacity to tell me "PUT YOUR PHONE AWAY" in a very disrespectful tone of voice. I gave him a face and told him "excuse you?" He ignored me looked at my file, then with force opened my mouth analyzed it and told me i need a deep cleaning before he does anything to my tooth. He started to un-rightfully condescend my lack of hygiene, which clearly he had a poor judgment of... As soon as that was said I immediately left the dental office. I will not tolerate lack of professionalism let alone disrespect from anyone so called a licensed doctor. To conclude my troubled tooth; a Dentist office in Miami Gardens took care of my root canal, same day visit and there was never a need to a perform a "deep cleaning". Apparently Dr. Vazana just wanted to add unnecessary charges to really drain the most amount of money out of my pocket. I wish everyone the best of luck that attends this dental office. It is such a shame Dr. David De Witt is no longer present."
"Dr De Witt was my first dentist ever!! He is a great dentist and a very nice person!! He makes you feel comfortable and at ease while he does his work. He's professional and very knowledgeable in his field. I would recommend him as well as his office team, especially if you are not a fan of the "Dentist" !! Truly & Honestly, A Pleased and Happy Customer !! Olga Pernia"
