"Great dentists at fair prices, especially AEGD. Unfortunately, you start your experience most times with a terrible rude front desk staff that you must check in with. Nova desperately needs to monitor their behavior, professionalism and offer better training + review & remove the bad apples."
"My personal experiences at Nova dental were always very good. It is absolutely true that you need 3 to 4 hours for each appointment, and even for a simple cleaning it usually takes two visits. This is definitely not the place for someone short on time. This is the place for people who can give their time for excellent and affordable dental care."
"I was a patient for several years at the PG Clinic in Davie and was also treated by other specialists within the NSU dental clinics referred to them as part of my long treatment plan that was expensive for me without having insurance. When the extensive work was completed after 7 years. I went to the Faculty of Practice under the care of Dr. Elaine Lara to provide maintenance care. The work performed on my mouth by the PG Clinic residents was reasonably well done. But this review is about the then director of the PG Clinic, Dr. Ayria Amini. I was then and am until now a reserved and conservative lady past middle age. This dentist was in mid age years. Why do I mention this? Because Dr. Amini began to behave in a strange, passively harassing manner towards me that made me feel very uncomfortable and towards the end of my treatment I no longer wanted to go to the PG clinic. There were times when the dental technician would leave me unattended for long periods of time sitting in the patient's chair waiting for the resident who was in charge of my treatment to come. During those long waits, Dr. Amini more than once took the opportunity to enter the little room where they had me waiting, he leaned against the wall and began to stare at me for long periods of time of more than 20 minutes, without saying a word, he just kept his gaze fixed on me. I just felt very uncomfortable with my head down waiting for him to leave. I felt so uncomfortable that I didn’t want to continue going to that clinic because of Dr. Amini's harassing behavior. For that reason, I asked for a meeting with his superior. The day I went to the meeting, the superior had about twelve people sitting there waiting for me to arrive. He asked me to explain my experience to them. It was very humiliating that Dr. Amini’s superior had brought so many people to listen to my complaint. In retrospect, I realize that they did not take me seriously. It was just a circus for them at my expense. The only solution the superior offer was to refer me to the Faculty Practice dental clinic to complete my dental treatment. I chose Dr. Elaine Lara (not a resident) to complete my treatment. She finished the job and did it well. This week I called the Faculty Practice clinic to request an emergency appointment with Dr. Lara to extract a tooth that another dentist near my house recommended and gave me a referral, well, Moisés (the front desk employee at the Faculty Practice clinic) told me that after having asked Dr. Lara if she can give me an emergency appointment to extract the tooth because that area was infected, Dr. Lara's dehumanized response was that I am not welcome at her Faculty Practice Clinic because of the “issues” (that Dr. Amini caused with his passive harassment and I complained with his superior years prior) and because according to Dr. Lara I owed money and in addition according to Dr. Lara I had canceled 3 appointments in 3 years. But his staff also have canceled appointments I had with Dr. Lara. . I told Moises that I do not owe the dental clinics any money, I paid all in full and I had never received invoices from the clinics for unpaid services."
"I went to the Clearwater, FL campus with Dr. Christopher. I had 10 teeth restored over a 5-month period. They provide conservative and solid treatment options which are rarely available in private clinics, including: direct composites filling and onlay or overlay with anomaly, and post & core with Zirconia crowns, and preventative treatments. Faculty team proactively help solve challenging problem and eliminate potential risk or errors. My full mouth teeth has been restored to be beautiful and functional. They are honest and not money motivated. Highly recommended, and persist your treatment till fulfillment with full communication with your dentist and faculty and they proactively help."
"The worst place. I went to the NSU pediatrics dental office at 1150 N 35th Ave #220 Hollywood FL 33020. The dental assistant of Dr Ana was rude and disrespectful. She lacked customer service and professionalism. She also lacked compassion. I have a special needs child who is wheelchair bound and she took me alone into the dental room and took more than 35 minutes going over his meds and history when she had full access through My Chart. She threatened me four times that my child was not going to be seen if I didn't have proper documentation. After I emailed it to her she threatened me once more, before even opening her email, that if she couldn't open the document and make a copy that my son would not be seen. She printed a copy and had no problems whatsoever. I will never go back. She kept being negative, lacked common courtesy and decency. The dentist explained to me that my son would be put on a waiting list and it would take one year for his teeth to be cleaned under anesthesia. Then the dental assistant preceded of reiterating what the dentist had just explained to me in front of her in great lengths, as if I lacked common sense. Her negativity and disdain was nonsensical, as well as her unethical behavior. It was a horrible experience and I wouldn't want any other parent of a special needs child to ever have to go through what I went through."
