"My husband and I have been Dr Martel’s patients for many years. He is very thorough and detailed in his work. He, along with his staff, explains what needs to be done so you are not surprised on any details from procedure to cost of the procedure. His office staff is friendly and welcoming. A big thank you to Dr. Martel, Deede, Rita, and Kim!!!"
"Victor Martel is the best dentist, the most beautiful, clean and professional atmosphere. He makes going to the dentist a spa experience so relaxing and peaceful. My son is an anxious boy and he only trusts Victor Martel and feels so comfortable. Thank you for having the best front office staff and dental hygienists. Plus you cant beat the location right on the intracoastal, I love to go for a walk by the water after my appointments. Top customer service and they always squeeze me in."
"Update: I attached pics of my No.3, 7 and 8 before and after Dr. Martel "filings". The cavities are still there. I'm not sure what he really did. I got filings for my No.31, 29 and 14 teeth in early morning. At early afternoon, my right bottom teeth started hurt a little bit. I though it’s just because the normal injuries after fillings. Later, the pain became really bad and I cannot endure it. I’m always a person with high tolerance to pain. So I called Dr. Martel’s office at 16:24. His assistant picked up my call and said she would tell Dr. Martel the issue. I also told her that it’s weird that my tooth used to be sensitive to cold, but now keeping cold water in my mouth ease the pain a little and I thought I probably would need root canal. She said she never heard about that and required me not to do so. So I waited for the reply until 16:44 and called back. The assistant said that Dr. Martel said it’s impossible for me to need a root canal because my cavity and filing was shallow. And his suggestion was to take some pain killer. I told that I already took 4 Advil but was still suggested to take pain killers. So I took another 2 pills of Advil. Later at around 19:00 pm, the pain was still not relived at all. And I had took 6 Advil already (the direction said that cannot take more than 6 in 24 hours). So my fiancé helped me dial an emergency call to Dr. Martel. He suggested us to go to nearest CVS for a prescription drug. So I took another pill of Acetaminophen. Sadly, it still didn’t help at all. I was taken to ER at 3:31 am in the very early morning and was given an anesthesia. Later I was referred to a specialist for root canal and got it done by around 20:00 on that day. The next day, I contacted Dr. Martel’s office for a refund for the filling for that root canal tooth. Dr. Martel’s reply was that they would like to provide me credit for my later crown, but not a refund. I insisted a refund instead of a credit. My reason for that was: first, the endodontist said that “filling could be a reason for the infection”, which my fiancé and I heard it clearly. And since my pain started after the filling was done, I have a reason to doubt about the cause. Second, I contacted the office several times talking about my guess of a root canal needed, but Dr. Martel firmly said it’s “impossible” because my filling was shallow. Third, I paid an initial visit exam several days ago at $105 (insurance covered $31), and later paid $990 plus $556 for fillings. If a dentist cannot diagnosis dental disease, what is the exam fee about? Now I’m only requesting the refund for the filling on that specific tooth, which did no good to me and was taken away one day later. Dr. Martel’s reply for the refund request was that he talked with the endodontist and he said it’s not the filling caused the infection. When I said that we heard that sentence clearly and wanted to talk through phone. Dr Martel’s reply was “you are getting no credit” and “find another dentist”. Of course I’ll choose another dentist. Before I went to ER for pain control at midnight, I emailed a bunch of local dentists and called every emergency dentists websites I could find online. When I questioned about the cold water’s relief function and was told by the assistant “never heard about it”, I doubted the clinic’s knowledge and experience level for dental issues. Because even google tells me the reason. When I was required to take more pain killers even though I told you that I already had a high dose, I knew that you don’t really care my health. When I got no reply for request to go to your clinic for localized anesthesia injection to control pain during your working hours, I knew that you don’t really care about how painful your patient was. All you see about the whole issue is probably that a crown will be needed after the root canal. And that’s profit for you. Anyway, I question Dr. Martel’s ability to diagnosis and treat real dental problems. Just leave the fact for later comers to judge by themselves. And pictures are about if the specialist is in-network!!!"
"Dr. Martel and his staff take such wonderful care of me and my family, including my children. I have referred so many friends to him and everyone just loves the practice, the office and all of the services. The office is so clean and welcoming and the location is ideal. The staff is kind, funny and always happy to see us and help in every way possible. Dr. Martel is a wonderful dentist and is so sweet and understands our needs and often time restraints and emergencies. I have had several crowns, fillings and have also done invisalign with him. I am so pleased with all of the results."
