"I would like to write about my horrible experience with the billing department. This has nothing to do with the dental hygienist staff and Dr. Mendoza. They are amazing at their craft and career in providing white glove service and also care for their patients. This all started when I signed up for Aspen dental to get work done and check on the health of my teeth. I made an appointment for 11/21/22 to do exams, go over plans, and get a cleaning. They tested everything and went over how many fillings I needed along with getting rid of my 2 wisdom teeth. Also educated me on how to care for my teeth and prescribed me tooth paste. I spoke with the office manager and they went over the price with me and how my insurance (Delta Dental) would cover most of it. The work came out to be over $2K and I would be responsible for about $400. I applied for Snap Financing which they offered and I was approved for up to $350 where they would take out about $11 out of my account bi-weekly when I got paid. I paid the difference on my HSA card. I also bought $136 electric tooth brush. They gave me my packet with all the info on there and the price break down. Office manager proceeds to spread out my appointments. I advised that I can only come in Mondays as I work Tuesday-Saturday. There were 4 appointment as follows 12/05/2022, 12/12/2022, 12/19/2022, and 12/20/2022. I repeated I couldn't come on 12/20/22 because I work in a call center and I have to be phones all day. Office manager said that's fine you can come in early in the morning around 7 and doing the appointment if not you can reschedule the fillings. I also wanted a cleaning that day but most of the staff went on lunch. I went and did my wisdom teeth first and Dr. Mendoza prescribed pain meds and also provided gauge that I needed and other items. I came back and did the other 2 appointment after. During the 2nd or 3rd appointment, Dr. Mendoza found another cavity that was missed during the first exam and that the staff would take care of it. I believe that same day the dental hygienist scheduled my cleaning 6 months out. I couldn't schedule the last appointment the week after because of the Christmas and New Years so they had me reschedule for 01/09/2023. That same week I had a sinus infection that lasted for 2 weeks and I didn't want to get anyone sick. This is the month when they started drawing out the money for the work they are doing on me until the loan is paid off. I called and cancelled the appointment and they told me I could call back anytime when I'm better to reschedule. This time months went by and I could not call back because of other appointments I had made to other doctors and also work got in. As my cleaning for 06/05/22 came I went and did that and they charged me $53 for the fluoride even though my insurance is supposed to cover for the cleanings. I told the front desk receptionist that I needed to reschedule for the fillings that I did not get to fill back on certain dates I missed which was 01/09/23 and 12/20/22. And they told me no problem and she checked the calendar and told me you can come in on 06/12/22 and 06/26/22. Mind you these 2 appointments are supposed to be free which I am already paying for. I'm just simply scheduling the cancelled appointment after. She asks me which specific teeth we are working on and I told her and provides me a price. I told her they are already covered. Then I am being told that there is a new software system that has been changed and they have not moved over every patients profile yet. So they advised me to bring my folder with documentation of the price break down on the day of the appointment. I get home and the folder is no where to be found. I go the appointment on 06/12/22 and I'm being told I need to make a payment of about $190. They had me apply for financing again and I was rejected because I am already financing. I called Snap and they told me Apsen just needs to refund and I can apply again on a 3way call with them. The receptionist said I will call your insurance and charge them. I never got a call back."
"They take the time to explain every step being taken. everything was taken care of in a timely manner. Definitely honest I was told by another dentistry that I had 3 cracked tooth enamels that needed caps. Aspen dental found that not to be the case. No caps and see you in 3 months for a cleaning. Honest"
"Wait was a little longer than I expected even though I had an appointment but that's just how it is at the dentists. Once it was my turn it was great. I usually have a fear of the dentist and it definitely shows but they were nice, talked me through everything, asked me if I had any questions. Everything went how they said it would, no complications or anything."
"My husband recently went to Aspen Dental, he is not a dentist type of guy but had to have a tooth pulled and was in a great deal of pain. He was so happy when he came back! He said everyone in the office and the Dentist were professional and very kind to him. The price was great and he will come back when needed in the future. Thanks for doing such a great job!"
