"If I could give 0 stars I would. I partially blame myself I should have known from the first visit that this place wasn’t a good place for an extraction. There are humidifiers in each room. Which attempts to cover the mildew smell. But I hate to say that’s not even why they get 0 stars! I went in for 2 extractions which took the dentist 2 weeks to even submit a referral. After the referral was approved I went in for the extraction. I made a 8:** appointment but didn’t even get called until 12pm. So I had to reschedule. Still not why I give 0 stars. My next appointment I cleared my day, asked my husband to take off, and came prepared for 2 extractions. I went back into the room. I let the dentist know that I am extremely hard to numb. (Told him this at my last appointment too). I do admit he gave me about 4 shots for 2 teeth on separate sides ( past dentist used 3-4 for 1 area in the past on me). I kept telling him I could feel it. He kept touching the numb spots on the outside of my mouth. Of course I couldn’t feel that. Then he proceeded to hammer at my teeth again. I tell him I CAN FEEL THAT! So he gets into a huge argument with me about what I can and can’t feel. Asks me to open my mouth, and hammers again. After 2 good pounds, He then tells me he can’t pull the tooth. I gladly got up… in tears. I was pissed because he should have known from the first hammer & my yelp in pain, that he couldn’t pull it and wrote a referral to a surgeon! But he’s rude. Always has slick comments. He got an attitude on several occasions & He feels that he can say whatever he wants. I got my referral directly thru my Insurance company because he wouldn’t do an emergency one. The representative said I had to wait until he does his referrals “on Fridays”. I’ll also be Changing to another dentist. This one is so ghetto. I’m already scheduled for an emergency surgery… this dentist could care less. He doesn’t give 2fcks about his patients!!"
"My son is a approx. on appointment number seven. All he received was a root canal and a cap for his tooth. I don't understand why there's so many appointments that each last two to three hours a piece. Yesterday we went there at 10:30 a.m., he was given Novocaine, an hour and 45 minutes later he still hasn't been seen yet, the novocaine is wearing off. The doctor goes ahead and gives him more Novocaine. Now we all realize medicine is not free so obviously the states being charged twice for medicine. Come to find out that the doctor drug the appointments so far apart that Medicaid no longer covers the cap because it expired. I filed a report with Medicaid. I'm not a lawyer but I'm not stupid either. You are obviously just coming up with random appointments and wasting so much time just so you can charge Medicaid more and more. Any reputable dentist could have done this and maybe three visits tops. And not only to top it off my son came back out of the appointment which nothing happened at all even though it took 3 hours, but the doctor himself degraded him, a child, (17yrs.old,) for complaining about being left alone in a room by himself for over an hour and a half. I suggest you don't go here and I suggest that the state looks into this. So many people can get Medicaid because there's not enough money and then there's people like this that are just taking so much of the state's money and not doing any work for it. I would give negative Stars if possible. Please Google somewhere else or if the state tells you this doctor argue them. Even the work he did in the first few appointments fell right out of his mouth. I could have done better with products I bought at walgreens. And don't even get me started on his preferable treatment for special people. Remember I've had entirely too many appointments not to see what really goes on there."
"I went to Dr Islam for a filling a few years ago. He said no, it needs a root canal. "If it hurts, it HAS to come out" he would say. After taking close to $700 of my money he performs HALF of the root canal. He didn't tell me I'd need another $500 for him to complete the procedure. I ended up losing the tooth. Three years later I'm still thinking about how I got ripped off by this dentist and his nasty office. If you want to keep your teeth do not go to this dentist."
"Mother in Law went in for an extraction, everyone except the dentist was polite and caring. Heard that he did some things that sounded outside of the norm. He made comments about how she looked and smelled of a chimney due to her smoking habit ( not condoned, however, They're better ways to talk about these things in a medical setting). Did not provide adequate post op pain treatment, and had to numb her up 3 times in a 2 hour span because he kept leaving the room. Patient was on medicaid and from what it sounds like to me this dentist treated her lower then that of someone who paid with a care credit card. We should not accept this type of treatment from any doctor or healthcare professional no matter what level they work in. This dentist did not do enough research on his patience medical history or dental history to make accurate judgements in patient care. Was more concerned on "ripping them all out now because your a smoker, so I will have to do it anyways". A good dentists job is to help you and give advice on how to keep as many of your teeth as possible. Dont get treated less then what you deserve in any medical setting guys, and do your research befor believeing in everything you hear from your healthcare professionals, otherwise we will all suffer as a whole while our healthcare system gets continues to get rich and we all continue to fall through the cracks."
"Avoid this dentistry if you can. Yes, the staff- starting with Sandra, is very nice, but I cannot say the same for Dr. Islam. My wife and I had back to back appointments and both were very disappointing. On the day of my cleaning, I had the earliest appointment. Dr. Islam showed up half an hour late. I had to wait outside with his staff for him to arrive. More importantly, this dentistry does NOT have an oral hygienist. As a result, Dr. Islam serves as an oral hygienist, but he is really bad at it and does a very superficial job. A strange fact: They don't have spit bowls at this dentistry. You have to wait until they finish, so that you can go to bathroom to spit."
