Reviews of Cambria Hotel Orlando Airport
"I booked this hotel specifically to utilize the shuttle service so that we could drop off our rental car the day before leaving because our flight was so early. When we checked in we were informed that the shuttle service ends at 8 pm and begins at 6 am. Lyft was swift and not too expensive. When we needed the shuttle back after dropping off our car the front desk staff was really rude. We asked if there was a schedule when it would be picked up, and she said no we call when we get to the pick up spot. We did that, and we had to wait an hour for the driver. We ate dinner at the restaurant which is in the lobby area not a sky bar as listed. The food was good. Prices were as expected. Our room was small, but what we needed. The bathroom mirror light was blue tooth only, and I couldn’t shut it off. The door to the bathroom is opaque so the light came into the room and combined with the super bright light of the thermostat it mine as well have been daylight in the room. The beds were basic. We maybe slept 2 hours."
"Needed a hotel close to the airport. Free parking and close proximity. Nice lobby and very clean rooms. Quick check in and good customer service.. Read reviews about bug issues. None in sight. Would absolutely stay here again."
"- Shuttle took a VERY long time to pick up from the airport - Room was a little cramped - Nice, quite clean, and modern feel - Smelly in places - Vent above bed whistled and could not be turned off - Not worth the mid-range pricing When I arrived at the airport, I went to the shuttle pick up location (space “A4”) that the front desk instructed I go to, and I gave them another call to let them know I had arrived. They said that they would send the shuttle right away. I expected a 5-10 minute wait, since the hotel was only a couple of miles away. After half an hour, I called again, just to check that everything was alright. The desk said they would check with the driver and call back, but they never called back. After another half hour (over an hour of waiting in the cold) I called yet again, and they said that they would check with the driver and call me back in a minute or two. They didn’t, but the shuttle arrived a few minutes later, after over 80 minutes of waiting outdoors. Finally, I arrived at the hotel at almost midnight. The front desk experience was relatively standard. The lobby was nice, clean and spacious. Upon entering the elevator, I was greeted by a stench that I can only describe as spoiled food or barf. In the room, it thankfully smelled fine. The first thing I noticed was how cramped it seemed. The two beds seemed to take up ~80% of the floor space, and the desk was positioned underneath the TV, making the desk difficult to use effectively. Most annoyingly, there was a vent right above one of the beds, which made a whistling sound and could not be turned off using the room’s thermostat. I had to wear my headphones just to fall asleep. The bathroom was nice, though. Wifi was complimentary, but the speed was mediocre. 10 Mbit/s both up and down, with about 18 ms latency. Prospective guests should note that breakfast is not complimentary. This is a real shame, as I am not hard to please and don’t expect anything extraordinary. For the unacceptable wait at the airport, and the whistling vent, 1/5."
"Great hotel among the cluster. Minimalist set up in rooms but it works. Smart mirror is a hoot. Lobby bar has decent food & drink but walk to Fish on Fire for a real treat!!! Rooms & bed comfy but get room at end of hall for quiet."
"I stayed at the Cambria Orlando for five nights in January 2024 with my family. We were visiting Orlando for a vacation and wanted to explore the theme parks and attractions nearby. The hotel was a great choice for us, as it had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I would rate the hotel 5 out of 5 stars, as it exceeded my expectations in many ways. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with a double bed, and a coffee maker. The bathroom was also large and had a separate shower. The hotel had a lot of amenities, such as a fitness center, a pool, a restaurant, and a bar. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and professional, and they made us feel welcome and valued. However, the hotel manager, Mr. Khan, was very attentive and responsive, and he made sure that we had a wonderful stay."
