"This seems to be the nicest hotel in town, but honestly I don’t think it should be rated a 4 star hotel. I’ve been at nicer 3 star hotels.Location-wise, it would be the best you will get. In terms of staying at a very nice hotel, it doesn’t.They probably figure they don’t have to make improvements as there aren’t many options. There’s three star hotels experiences better than this 4 star hotel. Your car also has to be valet, so there is a cost of that too. At their price, they should at least offer a free breakfast in the morning, but they don’t."

"Location was great. Some staff were helpful and friendly. If I could deduct half a star, we were in a room over the laundry room and the whole bathroom shook through the day. Whoever is in the bed closest to the bathroom could also feel it."

"Well, this was my first time in St. Augustine and it was over the holidays. I’ll be very to the point here. There aren't really a lot of great options or nice places to stay in my opinion. This seems to be the nicest hotel in town, but honestly I don’t think it should fairly be rated a 4 star hotel. I’ve been at nicer 3 star hotels. The biggest thing for me is I want a very immaculate clean room. I don’t think I got that. It was just ok….perhaps a 2 to 3 star hotel room experience. The hotel needs a major overhaul. The room smelled musty and in need of a remodel. They have a restaurant in the hotel and it was decided they would have a Christmas buffet. Well, it’s right in the hotel lobby! When you walk-in to check in, you have to awkwardly walk through the buffet. They maximized the space and moved tables even in the hotel lobby sitting area ….so there was not a chair to sit in. They even had tables blocking the hallway to get to the rooms. I’m certain if there was a fire inspection, that would have been a big issue. Location-wise, it would be the best you will get. In terms of staying at a very nice hotel, don’t expect much. They probably figure they don’t have to make improvements as there aren’t many options. You certainly could stay at a bed and breakfast, but again, I prefer a modern new room. Ironically the following night, we stayed at a Home2Suites, just outside of downtown. That was a 3 star, but the room was significantly better. Still a three star experience, but better than this 4 star hotel. Your car also has to be valet, so there is a cost of that too. "Good hotel experience overall and the location is perfect. Easy to walk to everything St. Augustine has to offer. Nice lobby. Valet parking. Rooms are scattered among various buildings. I booked a Bayfront room with a porch. It was worth the price difference! Fun to rock on the porch and let the world pass by!"

"Absolutely beautiful hotel specially during Christmas time ,they go all out with the Christmas decorations!! It's a must see. Walking distance from st George Street and all the restaurants and shops which was very convenient location. Margo at the front desk was very professional and friendly. The room was very luxurious and spacious. Very beautiful and unique hotel I absolutely recommend 100%."
