"Went for my first visit 1/15/2024 and from the start everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Dr. Tina Akhavan was amazing, very knowledgeable, and caring. She took the time to explain everything from start to finish and made me feel comfortable with all my procedures. Toby the dental hygienist was also very skilled, friendly, and did a great job with my deep cleaning. He would check throughout the cleaning if I was comfortable or if I was in any pain. Dr. Tina finished with Laser cleaning and Fluoride. Everyone made me feel at home and welcomed. The office itself is very nice, clean, and all state of the art equipment. Best Dentist visit I had ever had in my life and look forward to the follow-up appointments in the following months."

"I chose this dental practice because it was in my new dental HMO plan, a very inexpensive plan with a limited selection of dentists. I did not feel comfortable at Dentists of Oakland Park from the very start. Yes, they are young and inexperienced, but the real problem is that they are unusually focused on how much they can charge me rather than my desires and well-being as a patient. (Similar to some veterinarians I've been to for my pets.) I will not go back here and I also canceled the HMO plan. Based on my experience and that of others I know who have tried to save money on dental care with a cut-rate insurance plan, you always seem to end up paying just as much, or nearly as much, or even more (!) than if you go to your preferred dentist. I reviewed the fees I had been charged with my previous dentist after I lost dental insurance and he charged only $2 more for my periodontal maintenance treatments--out of pocket and without insurance--than this dentist with insurance. Yes, with the cost of my HMO premium, this "budget" dentist was actually more expensive. So this isn't a case of getting what you pay for; it's a case of getting less than what you pay for. Also, I had to argue with them against things they wanted to bill me for out of pocket, not covered by my plan, that I didn't want. My previous three dentists all had more integrity, honesty, and transparency than Dentists of Oakland Park, and with my previous dentists I never felt like I was seen merely as a warm body with a credit card. I have scheduled an appointment with my previous dentist."

"Sohani is amazing! Start to finish from setting up the initial appointment to the day of check-in. Easiest process completed. Sohani to the doctors at this location are thorough from the recommended treatment and plan moving forward; they truly show they care. Dr. Sapri is great, she’s friendly and personable. See you guys for the next check in!"

"I’ve been here now twice for my 6 month cleanings and all I can say is WOW!! From the moment you walk in everyone is so friendly and nice. The Dental assistant was so great she was very personable I do not remember her name but she did my X-rays and made it a very pleasant experience. Dr. Tina is amazing! She is so caring and really takes the time to explain everything and make sure you are comfortable with everything before moving forward. Toby the dental hygienist is amazing he is so friendly which makes you feel like you are right at home.Even when checking out the girls at the front are so lovely and friendly. This is just a great office from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave."

"10/10 recommend this office! Starting from check in the staff was amazingly kind. I saw Dr. Cohan and was cleaned by Toby who was extremely thorough and made getting my teeth cleaned a blast. My charges were presented for me prior to any procedures which is rare and beyond appreciated. Thank you to the entire staff for making the dentist fun. Can't wait to come back!"
