"My family has been coming to Sarasota Sands Resort circa 1986-86 so it certainly has a large place in our memories. The scenery is this part of Florida is gorgeous and SSR is perfectly situated at the end of Lido Key. The rooms are quaint and work nicely for family gatherings especially with the larger kitchen and dining areas. The recent improvements to the beach are fantastic providing a wide beach with plenty of space. Of course there’s more than the beach and St. Armand’s Circle provides plenty of variety for dining, shopping and entertainment. Be sore to venture into downtown Sarasota where you’ll find an even wider range of dining and shopping."

"I've been coming here 20+ years. It's like family here. The staff are sweet and caring, The rooms are clean and perfect for a beachy stay and the location is to die for. Its the last hotel on the key. Whats that mean? It means its the best location on the key. We see the same families every year and its a great place for family and friends. This being said- If you're looking for someplace quiet or kid free? This is not your place. This is a family resort and is wonderful for couples, families, etc. Or those who don't mind a bit of a fun time!! My husband and I have both been coming here since we were young and we love it!! Been coming since we were 15/16 and we are married with a child now who enjoys the resort. We bring friends every year and meet new ones. Best resort in Florida!!"

"Quite pleasant experience. Friendly, efficient staff. Lovely, well kept landscape. Spacious, clean , well kept rooms. Friendly , family atmosphere. Friendly guests. Pool is well kept. Beach is nice , good amount of shells to pick up for crafting. Water has some waves but you can swim and float in the gulf. Easy beach access. Other amenities as well. Love the place. Considering purchasing a unit."
