"I was referred to DR Radecki (Dental Health Services) in 2015 by the Veterans Administration for multiple crowns as a result of grinding my teeth while sleeping. Their office is very austere and would never be categorized as modern - same for the treatment room. Ultimately I received ~10 crowns from him over multiple visits. I had one other crown done at another Dentist before coming here and expected minimal pain - but a lengthy procedure. He is very-> very fast at the procedure(s) but appeared to have little proficiency at pain mitigation during any of my visits. I seem to remember him sometimes completing 3 or 4 crowns a visit and he appeared a bit put-out whenever I needed more novocain for the pain. Although not rude, he does not display a noticable amount of interpersonal skills and was always rushing. Afterwards he told me several times that if I ever had a problem with them he would fix or re-cement them for free. I made a mental note to never have anything else done there (based upon the pain endured) except possibly the free re-cement he offered if a crown came loose. During periodic teeth cleanings and dental exams and procedures at the VA, all the Dentists asked me where and who did several of the crowns they often had to touch-up because they said they weren't very good. Also, two were not sufficiently thick near the gums and food gets stuck in them daily. 5 years later (2020) I had a crown come loose at the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic (March) I called their office, and true to his word, I was seen quickly and the crown was re-cemented quick. About a month later a different crown came loose and I called their office but this time they didn't offer to re-cement promptly and for free (as promised) but instead stated they had to get VA authorization for funding first. It took about a week before they called me back and left a message that they had received the funding and approval to proceed with what they had formally said, and done, for free. I opted to wait another ~3months when the VA dental re-opened, to have the crown fixed....actually replaced because they said it was too thin. Im also scheduled for replacement crowns on the two they said had too much of a gap in them. I would never recommend this place for any dental procedure ."
"Very disappointed in this office and would no longer recommend this office. I have had a long standing relationship with this dentist. The dentist is excellent, it is his office staff that needs help. I have had lots of work done over the past 20+ years there and given them many referrals and lots of money. They recently did not inform me ahead of time about fees for what I thought was a routine cleaning (that is what I scheduled) which should have been covered by my insurance. When I complained and told them I was upset and thought I should have been told about the cost, they sent me my records and told me to find another dentist. They also wrote if I had questions about it to contact my Insurance company (so basically they refuse to discuss it) I can not believe the level of patient disrespect to me as a lifelong patient. I will never recommend this office again Go elsewhere where they will care about you as a patient!!"
"The Dentist himself is great. Friendly, knowledgeable, at least honest enough not to rack up a bill and extras to pull off a robbery like most dentists I’ve seen in the past. The hygienists are great, usually. But if you read some of the other reviews on here, you’ll notice a main, repeated complaint about the front office and the wife. I work nights in a hospital, sometimes leaving on time is not guaranteed. I was nice enough to call the office to let them know I was running a few minutes late, only to be rudely told my appointment would be canceled. I’ve already made my appointment somewhere else. The front office already sounds much better over the phone. They’re connected with my work and at least understanding of the life of a first responder."
"I never write a review however this one was necessary. The front desk lady who is Dr. Radecki's wife is incredibly rude. I had a rout Canal and Crown done a little less then a year ago. I paid what was due at the time of the procedure. However my Dental Insurances portion was declined because it did not cover major procedures until after 6 months of existing coverage. I was never made aware of the debt by my Dr. Radecki or my Insurance. I did not receive mail or an e-mail either. When I tried to schedule another appointment with Dr. Radecki for some additional work 8 months later is when I was made aware of the debt. I then paid a few installments of $50 and $25 every pay check for a month or so. I had an appointment set for June 07 when I was called by Mrs. Radecki on May 20 stating I needed to pay NOW!! I told her I didn't have money until the appointment and I didn't appreciate the tone of voice or the berated nature of the call. She was attempting to bully me into payment. I made a previous payment of $25 just a week prior and was scheduled for some more major work in just a few weeks. I obviously am making attempts to square away the debt and give them further business. She told me if I didn't wanna pay now then she has to cancel my appointment because my debt has been almost a year and for me to "find another dentist". Keep in mind I wasn't aware of the debt until two months ago and paid over $100 in those two months. My remainder debt was a measly $160 remaining. I had two rout canal and crowns in the last three years done by them and spent close to $5000 out of pocket. I'm extremely offended by her and will never use this dentist again. However the actual dentist (Dr. Radecki) is an extremely kind man. It is a shame she will push away so much business due to her lack of understanding and rudeness. I still can't believe she told me to "get another dentist and that's life!" Wow!!! :("
"Let me preface this by saying that I never write reviews unless they are good because I pick my battles and I have a life. That being said, I was so disappointed with this dentist office and feel like something should be said. I went in for a cleaning and noticed it was a bit archaic and old fashioned but there isn’t anything wrong with that. I was told I had two cavities that needed to be filled but that if we did it soon, I wouldn’t need to have them use anesthesia. I quickly scheduled the appointment but when I went in, the Dr. was going to get the medicine to numb it and I had to remind him I wasn’t going to use it ( I had assumed he would have written it down and known what was going on with his patient before beginning the procedure) I will say that he was kind during the filling and I didn’t have a problem with him although he is a bit unfriendly for my taste. My husband, did however, say that his cleaning was far from comfortable and downright the most painful one he had ever had. I think what upset me the most though about this office is the way they treat their clients. They don’t care if they retain you or not. I was over billed upon service and went back to show them my EOB but they held my money until they got payment from the insurance….it wouldn’t be okay if it was the other way around though. I went in and showed them my EOB but it didn’t matter despite my agent being on the phone saying that they had written their check a week ago. I had to wait about a month to get my refund. I told them I would be finding another dental office because I was highly frustrated and they sent a letter to me in the mail saying something along the lines of “ there isn’t a mutual trust” between their staff and myself, so they told me to contact my insurance and find another provider and included all of my records and x-rays. There was no hint of “we’re sorry about the misunderstanding” or “ we are sorry to see you leave” etc. They could care less that I was unsatisfied. I have been in customer service all of my life in varying fields and this was appalling to me. The office staff is far from friendly and I felt like I was going out of my way to make them smile instead of the other way around. I wouldn’t waste my time with this one. I’m glad I have other options."
