"I recommend avoiding this place at all costs because that is what is going to happen to you...costs. Their administrative office is incompetent, totally messing up my insurance the first time and the 2nd time providing bad information about how much costs my insurance will cover. Avoid! I won't go back. PS For the record I have tried to reach out several times. Nobody gets back to me with problem resolution and just keep getting texts and emails. AVOID!"
"I received a flyer in the mail advertising a new patient special for X-rays and cleaning. I’m new to the area and decided to give it a try. I’m so grateful I did! The staff were kind and welcoming, the cleaning was thorough and gentle. Overall, I felt like I received great care."
"I have had multiple treatments and cleanings done with West Bay starting May 2023. I have left multiple appointments in tears due to the condescending way their staff has spoke to me. They have made me feel horribly insecure about my oral health and not being able to afford the complete $11,500 (after insurance) treatment plan. I have had an ongoing concern regarding one of the treatments I was able to afford. I’ve called management several times seeking some sort of resolution. Each time, the manager was absolutely no help. She has promised me multiple times that she would call me back, NOT ONCE has that happened. "I don’t know that I could’ve had a worse experience here. I’m sensitive to cleanings so I told the hygienist that, and it was still SO PAINFUL and I left feeling like they cleaned maybe 25% of my teeth. After the dentist saw me then exited the room, I sat in the chair with the bib on for (not exaggerating) 20 minutes before I got up and walked out of the exam room myself. When I got to the front desk, the hygienist and front desk lady were just laughing and chatting. The front desk girl said my insurance was taking a while to process, which I can completely understand, but you couldn’t come in and let me know that? I had no idea why I was still sitting there and what I was waiting for. She said she would email me my treatment plan. A week later, I still had not received a text OR call with my plan. I called myself to ask for it after 8 days of waiting, and I did not receive an apology but I did receive the plan within minutes (so it’s been ready the whole time and nobody cared to send it my way). I decided to switch dentists and get a second opinion as I wasn’t comfortable proceeding with them after what I had just experienced, so I called them on Wednesday this week to request my X-rays be sent to my new clinic. The lady I spoke to on the phone said she would send me a release form to sign and fill out and send back. She never sent the form. So I called hours later for it to be sent again, which I did then receive, fill out, and return within minutes. I get a call from my new dentist Thursday saying they have not received my X-rays, so I called WestBay AGAIN to have them sent over. She said she would have them to the new clinic by the end of the day. I get a call this morning (Friday) from my new dentist saying they still do not have the X-rays. WESTBAY IS CLOSED ON FRIDAYS so now I have to go to my appointment today without X-rays!! They are completely unprofessional and I have never been so disappointed. Stay far far away."
"You demand my money on the way out. Then it takes several weeks to file a claim because of the incompetence of your staff. The insurance pays you in full in 10 days BUT I HAVE TO WAIT 4-6 WEEKS to get reimbursed? I wish you and your business success while continuing with these practices during these times. Let's see what BBB has to say next about my complaint. I'm not a disgruntled patient, I have always been polite and respectful of those who served me there."
