Reviews of Universal Smiles Dentistry
"Do not go to this place. Tricked me into believing they were in network with my insurance company and they were not. Lied about warranty and they refuse to back up the terrible work they did. Very unprofesional and extremely rude. They are only interested in your money!! Go somewhere else. I gave them one star because negative 10 is not an option."
"This is truly the best dentistry I’ve been to in Florida. The consultation visit addressed all my concerns, treatment, upfront pricing and options on best course of action. The office staff is very well versed in insurance billing and they take a proactive approach with patients with multiple insurance. Dr. Gopal’s office has the luxury of upto date technology and expertise. His staff is professional, courteous and dedicated to their craft. I highly recommend a consultation visit if you’re looking for professional headache free service."
"I found this office as I wanted to explore Invisalign treatment. The appointment was so easy to set up. Within the very few seconds of entering the lobby, I was welcomed with smiles and made me feel so comfortable. In fact, I was so impressed that I moved my dental work to their office. My family are all now patients as well. Thank you for making this experience so pleasant. Thank you for making it feel like a small town business with big city results. I feel valued as a client each and every time I walk through the door."
"To be honest, I am not one to write reviews or complain ever. I haven't ever really been able to afford dental insurance so I haven't been able to get my teeth checked, but I do take care of my teeth all of the time. I went here to get my teeth cleaned and checked after finally getting some dental insurance, and was very excited. I had some scans done, but the lady kept getting frustrated because I had to swallow often, which shifted the piece, and on top of that she got the piece stuck in my mouth. I saw the dentist briefly, he was back and forth and didn't say much to me. To sum this up, a lady then came in to discuss my "financial plan" in which I was told that it would cost me $8,562 to fix my teeth and she would get me "pre qualified" for a 18 month no interest plan and said that "my credit would not be affected until I said yes to the plan." I'm only 21, so I am still learning about all of this stuff so I asked to contact my parents before making a decision. She said sure and asked if I wanted to call or go home to talk. I said that I would prefer to go home for some privacy on that matter. She says okay. I thought that I would finally then get the cleaning but unfortunately no. They proceed to send ANOTHER lady in to push me to call my parents who were working and said she'd take $500 off of my bill because it was so important because "my teeth are really bad" and then offered to throw in a whitening kit to make everything better. When I tried to call my parents the dental assistant lady said "Do you not want your cavities filled?" And made me feel worse that I am not able to financially spend 8K on dental. She also told me that my teeth are super yellow and asked if I drank coffee, to which I just said tea because I didn't think they were that yellow. On top of all of this they asked me to come back for my cleaning, which is the whole reason why I came. My appointment was at 8:30 am, I left at 10:30 am and did not receive the cleaning in those two hours. I ended up saying sure to coming back and then just cancelled. I walked out of that building and cried as soon as I got to my car. I felt so much more insecure about my teeth and felt so uncomfortable that these people were trying to force me on to some financial plan and were not really giving me much of a choice to say no."
