Reviews of Eo Inn
"A surprisingly serene hotel in downtown Orlando.. Welcome/reception service is superb .The room was clean and nice. And then the environment was convivial. I would definitely come back again! Overall, everything went well!"
"For 80 dollars. It's the best. High end 80 dollars. Try getting 80 dollars a room anywhere and you'll find Cockroachs and dirty rooms. But this place is great. Yes the rooms need work and it could be nice but for 80 dollars to 100. I'll take this small but cozy place. Clean and a soft bed"
"A perfectly nice weekend stay! As far as location for the price, this place is hard to beat. You’re right in the middle of Lake Eola Heights, walking distance from some of Orlando’s best nightlife and restaurants. There are only a handful of (free!) parking spots on the premises, but we never had trouble finding one during our stay. The rooms are pretty small and barebones, but comfortable enough for 2 people. Our room had a small mini fridge and a Keurig coffee/tea maker. The bathroom and shower are nice and fully stocked with soaps and such. The building definitely shows its age - there’s a little bit of a waterlogged smell and the AC could’ve been colder for my taste. Still, the staff were very helpful and the complimentary breakfast and snack spread were nice touches. Overall, I had a nice time here and would recommend it if you’re looking for a reasonably priced place to stay in a great location and don’t mind the lack of luxury."
"After booking the hotel (and prior to my stay) I read the reviews here and cringed. I was SO nervous about my upcoming stay. To make a long story short, my stay was satisfactory and I would stay again, but, there are considerations you may want to factor in for yourself. I booked a Friday night stay for about $130 out the door, and called in advance to advise I would be arriving very late (nearly 3 AM) which the concierge on the phone said was fine. Another review I read said they had no parking, yet the hotel booking site said parking was included, so I was wary. When I arrived around that time for check in, there was only one parking spot left on site, but I made it! And, the parking fee was included. This was a selling point for me as the Hilton down the road charges $30 (not including tip) for mandatory valet, and if you decide to valet yourself, they still want the money, ha! So, I was grateful there was room for me, but wary that may not always be the case. The hotel concierge was OK, didn't seem the most professional or courteous but I got checked in quickly, got my parking pass and room key quickly, so that was fine. I booked a room on the 3rd story with a balcony. When I got to the room, it was simple. A bed, an "entertainment center' that was dated with a small TV wedged in a corner (with a mysterious sticky smear across it), and pair of nightstands and a luggage rack. I was not impressed with the entertainment stand but did not plan on touching that or the TV so that was a little gross, but I kept my distance so it was fine. The bed linen appeared clean and the room smelled nice, which was the most critical thing for me. The bathroom was dated but appeared clean other than areas that are stained from age, although I did not get to try the shower to see how well it worked. The bathroom had fresh soap and towels and more than enough supplies. The balcony was fantastic (the whole floor of suites with the balcony shares the same balcony platform and is possible to be divided by curtains, although everyone else had their curtains back). The AC unit in the room kept the room COLD (and not just humid, stale air, it was frosty). Overall, I was just looking for a non-roach motel place to sleep in downtown Orlando for less than $200. With that, mission accomplished, and although it was not a glamourous hotel with a ton of amenities, since I managed my expectations and they were simple, I was pleasantly surprised. I was happily surprised to see the complimentary water and snacks (even fresh snacks like apples) downstairs, and, the Keurig in the room itself was nice. I was also pleased that my hotel guests sharing the floor did not make noise, so nothing kept me up at night (although someone did burn food in toaster in the morning which did set the fire alarm off, which is not the fault of the hotel at all, but an unfortunate inconvenience). I would 100% stay again for the price point, considering you can walk out the door and be at Lake Eola in less than one minute of walking across the street. For someone who is looking for luxury or modern amenities, you won't find it here (check out the Grand Bohemian). For someone who wants a "decent" or "pretty OK" place to stay for cheap in a GREAT location, this was fantastic."
"Buyer beware! Online photos were very deceiving. This hotel is in desperate need of a complete overhaul. Questionable cleanliness and room was in disrepair. Cheap furniture was literally falling apart, TV did not work. Even the light fixtures had bare bulbs, no covers. For charging $200+ a night, they should be able to afford upgrading and renovating the hotel. Would not recommend to anyone."
