"Excellent dental office in Palm Harbor, FL ~ Dr Philip C Sherman provides state-of-the-art dental services in sophisticated and modern environment. The staff including Kim and Kendra are part of an excellent team who facilitate the patient in receiving the best care. Dr Sherman and his team explained to me the procedure I was having done to replace a molar with an implant. All the while utilizing my insurance in a very efficient way. "UPDATE: I contacted our dental insurance and was told Breezy Bay has made no effort to pay back the amount they were paid for this crown (because they did not finish) I also found out that the insurance received a claim 9/28 that the crown was complete and paid. By law they can not submit a claim until the final appt. This is just another way Dr Sherman and his office submit fraudulent claims. I did contact the dental office and was told by a very rude receptionist named Kendra that Kim would take care of the issue but they have still not returned the funds back to the dental insurance company! I have a recording of the conversation. I need this done before I can fix the crown at another more qualified dental office Please think twice before going here. Let me start by saying we had a normal experience having cleanings done UNTIL we were told we needed “work” done. Starting in April 2023 I was told I needed a root canal- I ended up going to a endodontist (that was wonderful). I went back to Breezy bay for my crown- I was told it would take 2 appts. (Come to find out it would take many more) Finally in Sept 2023 I went back for my crown. I should’ve known when I sat down in the chair I literally had to argue with the dentist informing him I had a root canal on the tooth. Even tho he sent me for the root canal but he never read the notes in my chart. As frustrated as I was I let the appt continue. The assistant was so inappropriate with her personal questions and comments (making a comments about my young age, being retired, what I did for a living and my diamond rings) The dr even made racial jokes with the African-American assistant! I was heartbroken that he thought that was ok) In Oct 2023 I went to get my new crown and it was not the right fit (per the dentist) I was told I needed to make two appts for when I return from my vacation. December 4th I came to the appt only to find out there was no appt. At this point I was so frustrated but I waited about 5 mins to see the dentist (way faster then I thought) the assistant said “I’m so sorry your in pain let’s see what we can do”…… I responded “WHAT” and the dentist walked in- He reiterated about the pain I was in! I informed him I was there because he told me I needed to come back to get a new crown- he rudely started laughing and said “oh your right”. At this point I’m so angry I can’t even look at him. I’m thinking this is absolutely ridiculous that he has no idea why I’m there. At this point he gets angry and says “LOOK AT ME” I informed him I can’t because I’m so irritated. He then asked me to leave and gave me a refund!! I’m so angry and irritated for how this business handles patientsI truly believe this dentist tells people they need work done that is not necessary. My husband was told he needed a lot of work done on his teeth but we switched dentist and they informed him he absolutely doesn’t need it done. My daughter had to go back numerous times to get a filling fixed that kept falling out. This dentist is a scam and needs to be called in the BS. I will be calling Delta Dental to inform them insurance fraud they commit!"
