"I went it to have my taxes done on 2/12/21. Nancy was my “senior tax analyst” and she asked if I had ever been to H&R before. I responded with a no and then she continued onto preparing my taxes. When finished, she gave me my bill. I about fell out of my chair when she told me $590. She then proceeded to tell me that she had forgotten to go over the price sheet that was sitting right next to her and give me an estimate prior to starting. I felt obligated to pay, so I did and left. I filled out the email survey and the next day got a phone call from a higher up. He basically said there was nothing they could do except give me a $25 voucher for next year. Not acceptable! He also stated that it was protocol to give an estimate before filing... I then called headquarters and got nowhere. They want proof that she didn’t give me an estimate!! I should have just walked out of there, but that is not the kind of person I am. I feel as though I’ve been taken advantage of and will not recommend this company to anyone. I’m a single mother and that is a big chunk of change for me."
