Horizon Title

"Just completed my transaction with Horizon Title and the entire transaction has been a mess. Title is impossible to contact and does not respond back to calls or emails. Information has been incorrect. Trying to follow up has been a complete chore. The agents were not easy to work with and were not willing to negotiate on a home they knew had issues. Instead the buyers literally had to bend over backwards to make the deal work. The transaction went for 60 days due to a tenant in place. It was the day before closing and I just received the Alta for the first time and it had issues that needed to be taken care of and should have been completed a week in advance, when they originally received the Clear to Close from the lender. We did not get the final numbers balanced until the morning of closing, causing additional headache and issues that could have been avoided. During closing Matt (who is the broker and title agent??) seemed to not understand documents or the process like it was his first closing. He was not aware if the survey had been completed and went in between documents multiple times. For first time homeowners the buyers seemed more nervous than ever before. Dates were not correct on forms and needed to be changed. At this point it would have been worth the buyers to pay for the title and choose the title company to have control of the transaction and to be confident in the end results."
