"If I could leave a negative number I would. After being strung along for months about my "Piece of Mind Guarantee" the H and R Block Corporate office recommended I bring my info to this particular office. This was the day after tax season ended. I was assured I was in good hands and that my issues would be corrected. They explained they needed to file a claim to get the procedure started. This is the same process that began in 2019. All information and documents which they requested were left. On Saturday I stopped by the office to drop yet another letter off from the IRS. I was met by the nastiest employee I have ever encountered. She was rude and arrogant. I simply requested she take the letter and leave it for the person in charge of my claim. She explained that she had no idea what I was talking about and that the office was closing. I would need to make an appointment. This particular woman had absolutely zero people skills and should not interact with the public! On Monday I went to the office as instructed. I was met yet by another gentleman who was more rude than the first woman. I tried to explain how I was treated that Saturday and he stated and I quote " I will not stand here and listen to you bad mouth one of my staff members". Are you kidding me? I was making a simple statement. I asked him who was working on my case and If I could leave the particular letter. He said he knew nothing about my matter and there were no notes or documentation on my file. I explained that all correspondence and important tax information was left and that it was a fairly large bundle. Again very nastily I was told to come back. I was told he had to check several areas and could not do it at the moment. 3 hours later I finally returned to receive an untouched bundle. Not one issue was addressed in over 2 months! Apparently the gentleman who conducted the initial consult was let go 2 days later! Up until yesterday there was no correspondence or calls to let me know there was an issue! I was handed my information back with no explanation or apology. Actually this miserable old man did not care at all. This place is no good. The worst office I ever dealt with. The staff is RUDE, LAZY AND INCOMPETENT. STAY AWAY. THEY HAVE GOT ME INTO A REAL MESS WITH THE IRS! This is not over. I am contacting corporate and reporting these clowns. I will then be getting an attorney to help me receive and recover the " Piece of Mind Guarantee" I purchased in 2019. H and R Block did my taxes. I was audited and now owe $16,000 with penalties. They have done nothing to correct the issue. This is what happens when your employees are incompetent! I am concerned and disturbed that other clients are having the same issues. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the PATRICIA AVE. DUNEDIN OFFICE! They do not care!"
