"The employee was amazing and kind . But when I got to the end they wanted to charge me 699$ ! I have 1 child , filing single and made 30k. I had nothing to add except half a year of child care. She said it was so high because I had gotten the child tax credit but that’s extremely high for simple taxes . As soon as I left I went to HR block— and same amount back, same amount of time , same info and it was around 200 to file. Turbo tax is around 129$. I was super disappointed. They should let customers know up front their high fees . Wasted an hour and a half after my long day of teaching with my child in tow ."
