Ingham Retirement Group - 401k - IRA- ROTH - HSA

"I tried to roll over my retirement account to another account. Ingham makes it very difficult to do so. After accessing my account, they requested additional personal information to proceed. They asked 2 questions requesting information I never shared with them. That included an old address that I used for a few months and that I never shared because I was not allowed to receive mail there (it was a corporate housing for a forture 500 company that did not allow to use the address for mailing purposes). It took me few minutes to respond. Although my responses were correct, they were not immediate so I was locked out. I had to call the company. After 30 minutes on the phone, I was told that I was required to send sensitive personal information to them via email or my account would be forever locked. If I do send the sensitive information via email, it would take several business days before I can accesss the funds. This is not acceptable. They obviously make it difficult to remove the funds. Ingham should not prevent you for several business days (or indefinetely if you refuse to send the information requested) to access your funds. I will never do business with Ingham again. As I write, my account is locked."

"Terrible company, stay away at all costs! If your employer is offering 401k through this company, it is AUTOMATIC ENROLLMENT, and you will have deductions made from your paycheck, at a predetermined percentage, if you do not OPT OUT. They will send you a vague email telling you that you are enrolled, but then the attachment therein explaining the details appear to be written by a grammar school child and are not easy to follow or understand, and don’t really give you any information. Customer service is hard to get a hold of. Oh, and you will probably be locked out of your account, once you do register. Meaning, you have know access to see what the hell is going on with your money, if you do allow the automatic deductions. The website itself is dated back to 2018, which shows that they obviously have no interest in improving their system or customer accessibility. Honestly, the entire thing reads like a sham. I would absolutely avoid doing any kind of business with this company. Again, be aware that if your employer is using this company as your 401k option, it’s probably because they’re getting some kind of kick-back. I would recommend finding another company to work for, as well as another company to make your investments in!"

"This company operates in the year 2003. They do not deposit in chime or varo which is STUPID. They take forever to disburse YOUR MONEY. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY."

"Horrible company! They have lied to me 3 times. I wanted a loan distribution, requested 2 weeks ago. Was told would take 7- 10 days. 14 days later I'm told it will take an additional 7-10 days. A supervisor was supposed to call me back by days end today but never did. I placed a call and was on hold until 5 pm when they closed. Compassion, customer service and going above and beyond means norhing to them. Now I'm facing homelessness. Thanks Ingham!"

"Their customer service is horrible, rude and non-willing to help. This company is holding onto my 401K and ignoring my request to withdraw. I left a Florida based company six months ago and wish to withdraw my 401K. They refer you to their website, advising one that they cannot withdraw over the phone. One goes to their website and they block you so you cannot withdraw. They are holding onto my money. Not an easy to do business company. Please do not trust them with your money."
