"Unbelievable. I was fully on board with enrolling in their program and they were really great until I said I wanted to wait to talk to my spouse about committing to a 2 year payment contract. I feel like that's reasonable. I know if my spouse signed a 2 year legally binding contract I would hope he would talk to me about it first. I was asking for one day to discuss the matter with him and they turned into the problematic debt collectors that I was trying to fix in the first place. I was told that it was my own fault, I'm getting cold feet, and that since I already have debt issues, what's the harm? I don't like being strong armed and asked that they delete everything. The supervisor realized he wasn't getting anywhere with me, asked why I bothered to ask for him, and then said "ok then" and hung up on me. SO unprofessional. Beware! Unless you're prepared to sign a contract on the day you talk to them, don't bother picking up the phone. And please read the contract. Supervisor was a complete tool, saying that they're no worse than a debt collector calling and once again - blaming and shaming. I don't do that and I'm not playing that game. The contract itself states that it's a LEGAL fee, and not actually going towards the debt. The way they word is is "your current debt is XXX, but you would only pay XXX with this program." What they don't tell you is that that does not actually pay your debt - that pays a lawyer that MAY OR MAY NOT be able to do anything about your debt. Using misleading, aggressive and predatory, guilt-tripping practices is shameful."
