"I received a letter in the mail and contacted the company in that regards, to find out what the letter was about. This person named Jeff I believe has no social skills, he starts talking non-stop like recorder Then if you ask him a couple of questions or need any explanation he gives a bad attitude and he thinks that he is giving you too much of his time and hangs up very rude I know ethics I wouldn't recommend such opportunistic sending his information right to your inbox then acting with such attitude and hangs up. Don't waste you time."

"HORRIBLE. Where to start. The one star is for the first account they were able to help me with but the horrible experience i went through for a second account i needed assistance with outweighs any positive. First - I paid for a second service and after months went by without an update (idk what i thought but maybe they were busy working on it), i finally reached out and i was told i only paid for one service and had nothing on record. I had to find check payments from my bank, send screen shots, and show proof of previous conversations we had about that second acct. Thankfully it was in email!. After proof was shown, I was told by mary that they would get right on it. for months i was told it was being worked on. I finally received options on payments plans and immediately selected one. During that same time, i received a notice from HR at my job that i was now going to start being GARNISHED 25% of my paycheck. I expressed concern to Jeff and his team and NOT ONE PERSON returned my calls or showed any care in the world. I called for DAYS, which then turned into about 2 weeks of no communication. I got notice on sept 12 and the first garnish happened sept 25th. no communications from there end on this matter. i called/text/emailed jeff and mary countless of times. i demanded a refund and for them to remove their names as power of attorney and here we are, now in october with neither done. i cant even speak on my own behalf about the garnishment with the law office because this company has no care about the predicament they put me in. truth it, they left my account sitting idle for months and that got me in this situation. i even sent mail i recieved from the law group and all they said was "all will be ok". ended up being a lie. i finally received a response from jeff stating no refund because its MY fault for not repsonding in june when i first called them out on forgetting about my acct. Of course, i sent proof that it was a lie that i didnt respond. i paid for this service at the end on 2022, sent a text asking about my acct on june 21 2023, proved payment on that same day. received an email from mary on june 22 at 915 a, i responded at 10:15 that same day then again 920 pm that same day. then she responded the 23rd and so forth and so forth. i have the WHOLE THREAD. still no reply or changes. what is disturbing about this company is the lack of care or concern, jeff will SELL YOU. he sounds kind, encouraging, and knowlegdable but between him and mary, not a care in the world once they get their money. stay awayyy.not worth it. still no refund and still have their name as my representation so all i can do is keep letting the garnishment happen until they care enough to show urgency on this matter and how its affected my life. the only positive experience i had was with their new secretary? not sure her position but crissy or christy was her name. never got an answer on the situation but at least she made me feel heard. thank you to her."

"This company is an absolute joke! Jeff Lewis played on my emotions.. I expressed that I’m having a baby that needs open heart surgery immediately after birth and that I could not afford to pay the debt. He told me he would get the debt substantially lowered even if the company “crossed their T’s and dotted their I’s”… after that first call I never heard from him again. I called atleast 50 times. A couple times he said he would call me back and never did.. I had to deal with the mediation team who tried to get me to take the very first offer the debt company offered. After going back and forth with them. I finally went against their advice and made an offer that the company ultimately took. After paying this joke of a company $775 and the debt… I was over the amount of the original debt! I asked for a refund and was offered no money. I was told it was my fault! Jeff Lewis is a coward and a scam artist. He will take advantage of you in the worst time in your life for money. They ultimately did NOTHING for me. I may have well burned the $775. I am going through the hardest time in my life and I was 100% taken advantage of. Jeff and the people are horrible people. PLEASE do not make the same mistake I did and trust Jeff and this companies word. He will tell you everything you want to hear for money and greed."

"I had a debt and the creditor hired an attorney to collect. I received a letter from Clean Slate Debt Services and the letter stated "I can either get the debt wiped out completely or settle the debt substantially less with monthly payments that works for your budget. Instead Jeff Lewis and his staff worked hard to convince me to agree to the attorneys amounts that they suggested. If he worked as hard at persuading them to take an offer that was "in my budget" as he did me to just accept their offer he would be a man of his word...he did the total opposite I paid him to work the creditors attorney and not me. I paid him over 700 dollars to help me as he advertised but he only hurt me and put me deeper in debt don't waste your money on this guy he is a fake and a fraud and takes your money and then goes ghost on you until time to persuade you to accept an offer that is inhumane and should be illegal. If you have used this company please join me in 1st filing a complaint with BBB 2nd file a complaint with Attorney General Office 3rd file a complaint with FTC Federal Trade Commission and shut this company down for false advertising and praying on the poor who is already struggling to make ends meet."

"Per these reviews, it seems I should've asked for Jeff. Like many of the BBB complaints and Google reviews, I also found that there was immediate communication before the money was paid. After payments were sent, there is no response. We did have a very short amount of time to get this done as our court date was quickly approaching, but if this is a problem, maybe the case shouldn't be taken. We signed a contract yes, under the pretenses that work would be done to either fully wipe the debt or drastically reduce it. I question if the first step of the process was ever carried out. We had to reach out to the debt collector ourselves and pay the debt and still had to go to Court. They stated they never received anything from Clean Slate. I reached out to the person I was in contact with and said I don't feel like the second payment would be fair as no work has been done. Of course no answer. This was weeks before the second payment was due. Still the second payment was charged. We are hardworking people with kids trying to do better for ourselves. We don't have money to throw away. In this particular case, I think a refund is fair for us having to settle this ourselves."
