"During this challenging time as a small business owner, FRSCPA reached out to me offering help to get the PPP loan and in gathering info needed for the application process. I appreciate all the help and effort they made in this process, but when they reached out, they never informed me that I would be billed for their efforts. I assumed it was a service they were offering current clients to maintain their business in these trying times. FRSCPA chose to take this as an opportunity to make money off of struggling businesses. I saw a charge on my credit card for 765 dollars. I had to call them to find out what the charge was for. They then informed me that it was for support during the PPP application process. I was not provided an invoice for the charge, nor was I aware of the charge before they ran my card. They apologized and only offered to credit half the charge once I told them. I was not happy with the unapproved charge. I was told that I should have known because anything outside of my defined service was an additional charge per my engagement letter. I told them that I wanted a full credit and I did not appreciate their business practices. Later that day, I received an email from a partner, telling me that they would no longer provide bookkeeping or tax services. I spoke to three other firms and was told that they were not charging for PPP support."
