"To begin with, I worked in a very prestigious law firm in Broward County for years. I was accepted to law school however declined and pursued a field in education. Today I attended a simple mediation with my longtime boyfriend. The mediator contacted the director and said yes, she can attend as long as the other party agrees. Again, a simple child support increase. They vehemently refused. My boyfriend couldn’t afford to hire an attorney for the mediation so I said I would gladly attend and assist him. His divorce decree is quite simple but also very carelessly written. There are many grey areas where he was obviously taken advantage. Ms. Loomis is one of the most unprofessional and combative attorneys I have ever encountered. I was attacked verbally by her, by simply asking a question. Then she proceeded telling me what I could and could not do. We were willing to continue with the mediation professionally, however Ms. Loomis would not even discuss the topic further.. hence walking out of the room. As we were leaving I saw Ms. Loomis hanging over the railing trying to get someone’s attention. As we exited the elevator two police officers stopped us and asked us what was our problem was. I said sir, she was aggressive towards us and yelling down “are you threatening me” “are you provoking me” . I was dumbfounded. The police officer just said.. oh don’t worry about it, we can walk you out. Finally, I am reporting Ms. Loomis to ABA for extreme unprofessional and aggressive behavior towards both of us. I would think twice before retaining this unprofessional attorney for your legal matters. ****POST EDITED June 26, 2018 In response to your post Ms. Loomis. Tell the facts truthfully, you didn’t win anything or favorable outcome. In fact the mediator said it was fine for me to attend the meeting. You became very upset and said no! At that point “you” called the mediation off. You then proceeded to wave over the courtroom police “ hanging over the balcony” and then greeted us at the elevator doors opening. They said that you claimed we were threatening you and you client. Which I return wouldn’t speak English in front of us? They were both fluent in English, but insisted speaking Polish. There is no favorable outcome in the unfounded lawsuit. Unfortunately the child, whom I remind you is 16.5 years old is the one who suffers here. Truly, I have the upmost respect for anyone’s career, however you are extremely unprofessional. Have some respect and tell the truth. Personally, you are doing more harm to this family than good. You should be ashamed of yourself."
