"Cinch home services were really great. We had a water heater issue during the middle of winter. Even though they couldn’t find a provider to fix the issue, they allowed me to find a local company to replace the water heater. They reimbursed the maximum allowed amount which covered ~40% of the overall cost. Moreover the price responses over the email from their representative was extremely quick and helpful(5 stars) Overall I wanted to give 4.5 stars, but didn’t find a way on google reviews."
"I really don't like giving 1 star reviews, but this company deserves it. This company absolutely is a scam. Instead of writing a long sad story about my life, here is what you WILL experience being a Cinch customer. A customer service line that reads exclusively from a script, is trying to get you off the phone as soon as possible, will never follow up with you, and is looking for the easiest way to shut you up. Then when you actually get service you will get the cheapest possible technician who is looking for the easiest way to get out of your house, will not solve your problem, and will push you back to the previously mentioned terrible customer service line. I am currently in the middle of getting my microwave resolved. It has been over two months. I am now at a point where I am calling them every day to ask what is the current status of my back ordered parts. This is the only way to get your problem resolved if you have backordered parts. Too long, didn't read. Cinch is a scam. They want your deductible and want to provide zero service in exchange."
"Purchase experience was great. Very knowledgeable salesperson. Answered all our questions. Not pressure sales at all. However, after reading some of the reviews posted here, we’re a bit skeptical. Remains to be seen, If or, when we have a claim. Next day: Read the fine print in the Ts&Cs. Not as awesome a deal as it was presented to be. Presentation sounded like full replacement cost. But there is a max payout on big items. Examples: only $1,500 max for HVAC or well pump. Still, better than paying all out of pocket, but by the time you pay deductible and the premiums for two years, may not be cost effective. Granted, that is true of any warranty, so you get what you pay for."
"If I could give a negative review I would! This company is horrible. Our water heater went out last week and it still hasn’t been fixed. The first guy they sent out wasn’t even licensed to do the job. Then they tell me it will be 48 hours to even be authorized so I ask to be transferred to a supervisor. Arianna the supervisor puts me on hold forever and comes back to tell me they won’t cover it due to rust and corrosion. So I pull up my contract which in section 3 number 3 very clearly states they will cover me mechanical issues due to rust, corrosion and sediment. So their supervisor either doesn’t know how to read contracts or she lied to me. Then she tell me she will put it in as an emergency work order. So then they send me it’s authorized but we still owe $800 out of pocket because they don’t pay for labor or the pipes. So total we are at $950 that we owe, I call another plumber who said it would be $1,100 for him to replace it, so basically the same price. What’s the point of a home warranty if we are still paying the same out of pocket price?! So I accept the order and on the page when you accept it cinch says to call the provider to set up the appointment, so I did. Well the plumber gets to the pickup location only to be told they don’t have a unit available. I call cinch back and the First Lady was no help and when I asked for a supervisor she told me I couldn’t talk to one, that someone would call me back in 24 hours because they couldn’t authorize it!!! So I hung up on her and called back to get someone else, well then this guy tells me that the unit was ordered but they can’t find the order number now to pick it up. So now we are at day 5 of no hot water and no one can tell us anything about when it will be resolved. I can’t wait to cancel my plan after this. These guys are nothing but a bunch of criminals."
"If I could give negative starts I would! I have coverage for YEARS through American Home Shield went in to the Sam's club seen the advertisement for these guys and it sounded so much better and amazing. The sales representative gave a real bait and hook and sold me on their services. I filed a claim for our HVAC unit and they sent out a Sears technician told me that parts could be order. The next day they sent out a local technician and he was at my house a total of 6 minutes took NO TOOLS in to the attic to diagnose the unit just took a picture and left. Meanwhile 2 minutes after the tech leaves my driveway he is soliciting me via text to pay him directly instead of going through warranty and i said no. Then next thing you know Cinch customer service calls me says the claim is denied because " THEY DO NOT COVER PRE-EXISTING CONDTIONS" per the contract and all signage in the store they are covered. I told them of how the tech that they sent out was trying to scam me and not go through warranty in turn got my claim denied. They will do nothing to send out another tech to re-diagnose the unit they act like I am a liar, I have emailed them proof multiple times as well as spoken with 3 different reps inside of Sams as well no one wants to help. No we are to the point that they are telling me out of my own pocket I need to have the unit diagnosed and then "MAYBE" they can overturn the decision. Not to mention that I have been back and forth with phone calls where customer service flat out refuses to transfer you over to a manager. I have attached my original email as well as all of the proof of signage stating that this is covered, Maybe this horrible review will get some type of attention because this is flat out ridiculous the run around that I am getting from these guys on this matter. My last phone call today when I was FINALLY transferred over to a case manager I was told that they do have a "review" on my case but there is no time frame of when that has to be completed to just tell the customer when she calls back in that it is under review! Mind you my original claim was on 12/13/23-12/14/23 and it is now 01/19/24 and I still have gotten no where! Seems to me that they just want all of your money and to complete zero work!"
