"I can share positive statements about my experience with Mr. Gary Kollin. When I called with a police misconduct and civil rights case, he quickly did research and found the court files. He is very resourceful. He was very efficient in quickly understanding the facts of the case. He invited me to obtain the police worn body cam footage and then he offered me a retainer agreement after reviewing the footage. I made the mistake of asking questions to clarify and negotiate the retainer agreement and in return he withdrew his offer to represent me. This is the reason why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. But really, it's probably my mistake for asking too many questions instead of just signing when I had the opportunity. I realize that now. Even though in the end, I will need to find other council to represent me, Mr. Kollin was very polite and respectful in his communication with me. I believe it's my loss for not having signed a retainer agreement when I had the opportunity to do so. My 3 pieces of advice to anyone reading these reviews: 1. don't let yourself be fooled by the 1 star reviews as probably there wasn't much merit to their claims to begin with. 2. don't make the same mistake I did by asking too many questions or trying to negotiate the retainer agreement. 3. if he is willing to represent you, consider yourself lucky and just sign and do as he says. This lawyer seems to be highly competent, a true expert in his field and very selective of his clients. I do encourage anyone with a legitimate police misconduct or civil case to call Gary for a consultation. Best regards."

"I really don't know how in the world could this man have any clients given that he doesn't allow people to speak a word. I called Mrs. Kollin up about situation dealing with me and the ATF. The ATF deceived me with a "facially deficient" warrant that has no Particularity. I left a voicemail to Mrs. Kollin with me stating my name/number multiple times along with the issue at hand (facially deficient warrant). Mrs. Kollin calls me back up by telling me literally, "This is Gary Kollin, I am returning your call." As soons as I say how are you doing, he immediately cuts me off by saying who is this as if he doesn't recognize my voice from the voicemail with me saying my name multiple times. I told him about the issue with the ATF executing a facially-deficient warrant happened 3 years ago. He told me the Statutes of limitation to sue the government is 2 or 3 years. I told him I understand that but I was interested in a "Bivens Lawsuit" (Individual Capacity) which has a Statute of limitation of 4 years. He then tells me that he doesn't like Bivens Lawsuit because the Supreme Court messed it up and hung up in my face. Because he hung up in my face, I didn't even get a chance to respond to tell him that the US Case Law (Supreme Court), Groh v. Ramirez (2004), states that there is no "Qualified Immunity" for any officer executing a facially deficient warrant like the one involving my situation."

"I called Gary Kollin to ask him to represent me in a police brutality case. I found him to be rude, inattentive and arrogant. I tried to relate the details of my case and he continuously interrupted me and redirected my testimony to what he wanted to talk about and didn’t allow me to testify to the most relevant aspects of my case. What he did listen to he misunderstood and got all the pertinent details wrong. He actually sounded drunk to me. Without hearing my full testimony, he said he would not take the case and I don’t even really think he knew what the case was. My recommendation is find another attorney. I take miles on this!"
