"I usually handle all business pertaining to my auto insurance via my progressive mobile app . I found myself in a position where I had to act fast and get a document signed by the end of that work day, so I decided to go on down to the progressive insurance building located on the corner of Cypress and Westshore within the amscot financial building. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable as well. I'll most likely start doing more in-house business with this company because of this experience ....... ."
"Absolutely horrible company! After our broker sent them evidence of previous auto coverage, Progressive sent a letter to us (three weeks later!) requesting evidence of the SAME previous coverage. I sent copies of the docs they requested -- which contained my personal handwritten notes that we would not RENEW our policy with them (as they do not appear to have any level of competency to handle our insurance products). A Progressive employee (obviously NOT very intelligent) took my personal notes to mean that I wanted to cancel the existing, paid-in-full policy! Our broker called Progressive to correct their moronic error; I cannot help but wonder what their incompetent staff will mess up next!"
"I requested a one month policy but was told I had to take a 6 month policy but could cancel anytime. The auto policy was $454.60 and installment s of $76.77/month. I tried to cancel after making 2 months installments and was told I will be charged a penalty of $56.00. Why wasn't I told this when I made the policy. In other words, I am paying for insurance but I am NOT insured. Sounds like fraud to me. Don't buy Progressive Insurance."
"Progressive are appalling. I would never recommend them. We have had nothing but problems when we had an unfortunate situation where our vehicle was vandalised when the perpetrators realised they couldn’t steal it. We were away on holiday and it was parked in airport parking so we had no idea this had happened till we returned. Progressive took weeks for them to have it towed to a Ford dealer and because we had business overseas while it was there it was a further 5 months before they even started working on it!!!!!! Arisa the assessor for Progressive was dreadful. She missed so much on the claim. More damage was done from the towing company that towed it from the carpark and she didn’t want to know about it. Our vehicle was a mess and yet she failed to address our emails, phone calls and videos we sent to show all the damage required to be fixed. The dam door lock she didn’t even get fixed bc she said it was already damaged. Are you joking!!!!! Someone tried to break into it !!!! It would be one of the first things that would of been obvious to have repaired. When the vehicle was supposedly finished it had to be transported to another state ( at our cost) as we were then on business elsewhere and when it arrived on carrier it wouldn’t even start!! Flat battery, no repair to lock so couldn’t get into the vehicle. A battery had been left on the carpet inside the car so the carpark was ruined and all these things plus more she refuses to address. On top of that she then advised to do a second claim for the work that was not done which we did under her instruction and now Progressive want to cancel our insurance!!!! What on earth is going on???? We don’t deserve this treatment and it is totally substandard service. More importantly we want to speak to someone higher up the chain so we can get actual service. None of our phone calls or emails are replied to or occasionally if they are it takes weeks. We need help now!!!!! To sort this all out as we are now left with a vehicle that is not repaired and in poor condition compared to what it was for an incident that was completely out of our control. Progressive have made this the hardest thing EVER to try and sort out. Someone please do their job right and make contact. Someone who has higher authority than Arisa (of Tampa office)bc she is totally ignoring us."
"Unfortunately, my experience with progressive car insurance company has been quite disappointing. Recently, my brand new vehicle was involved in a significant accident, resulting in considerable damage and the deployment of all airbags. Based on the events and the terms outlined in the insurance policy, I expected my car to be declared a total loss. However, to my surprise, the insurance company decided to repair the vehicle and return it to me. I am baffled by this decision, as I cannot comprehend how the car can be fully restored after such a serious accident and still maintain the safety and quality standards it had when I purchased it from the dealership. After reaching out to the company to express my dissatisfaction, I did not receive a satisfactory response. Their explanations did not convince me and failed to justify their choice not to classify my car as a total loss, as stipulated in the policy. This has left me feeling that my consumer rights were not adequately respected. Considering this situation, I am contemplating seeking mediation from a regulatory or consumer protection agency to ensure that my complaint is properly addressed and that an appropriate compensation value is provided, in accordance with the severity of the incident. I believe that the quality of an insurance service should not be limited to the moment of purchase but should also extend to the efficient and fair resolution of claims. Unfortunately, this company fell short in this regard, which makes me hesitant to continue as their customer. At present, I am exploring other legal options to ensure that my rights are protected and that a just resolution is achieved. I hope that my experience can serve as a warning to other consumers, emphasizing the importance of thoroughly understanding the terms of the insurance policy and choosing a company that demonstrates genuine commitment to the satisfaction and safety of its customers."
