"We were, unfortunately, victims of the major Ice storm in Austin, TX in October 2023. We had a lot of damage, including roof and lots of windows. We never experienced anything like finding a roofer and getting the house boarded up. There are many people trying to get our business; who do you trust. Working with Allied Trust Insurance Company, and Michelle Akin, Claims Examiner, really was the sunshine in the storm aftermath. Michelle took the time to explain the claim process, her role with us versus the contractors, and the payments. It was daunting, but Michelle stuck with us, and re-explained when necessary, and was always accessible. I would not want anything like this to happen again, but if it does, I would highly recommend working with Michelle Akin and Allied Trust Insurance. For a bad situation, they really worked with us so we were comfortable making decisions and seeing all the work repaired.
