"I WOULD HAVE CHOSEN ZERO STARS IF GIVEN THE OPTION. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS TO Empire Beauty supplies on Cleveland Ave. On August 30th, 2023 at approximately 4:30 pm I presented to this location to purchase an item totaling $11.32. I've frequented this location in the past but will NO LONGER support this establishment. After running my card, I was informed that only $9.82 had been debited, and I quickly investigated my account to learn that it had been compromised with illicit purchases. If you've ever been a victim of fraud, you understand how frustrating and violated you might feel, especially if your account is frozen. Needless to say while resolving the issue with my bank I requested a refund of the debited amount from the OWNER, and was INSTANTLY DENIED. The owner then pointed to a sign that read "no refunds." I was taken back by his conduct and attitude and informed him that I had willingly surrendered the merchandise and that he still had my monies. He again refused, therefore I demanded some sort of payment receipt indicating that this establishment successfully charged me $9.82. The proprietor, a male of Asian descent, refused to provide me a receipt, claiming he did not know how to issue refunds. "You are making me work too much!" he said after FINALLY providing me a child-like hand written paper receipt, (as shown in the attached photo). I exited the store to travel home and returned with $2.05, cash knowing from his reaction that he would be pleased to keep my money. This is heinous. If you live in the Fort Myers area, I would advise you to take your business elsewhere because our continued support just encourages this establishment's inappropriate conduct and slum-like business practices. To be honest, they don't deserve another penny from our community."

"I called to see if they had a specific item in stock and the price as I’m traveling to visit family. I experienced the worst customer service. The manager was incredibly rude saying they don’t have this information near the phone and will not check for any reason. If you all are local I recommend spending your money elsewhere. Seems like this store feels like they can treat anyone disrespectfully and people will still flock there. I do not wish the business well."

"When 1st Moving to Florida in the area we moved to. Out was the most difficult thing to find black hair products and when you finally found something there was not a lot of variety and the prices were rediculous. After 6 years of living here finally found a place where it was not only the largest store I'd seen. But had every black product you could possibly find. The variety was like nothing is ever seen and the prices were AWESOME!!!! So Sista's/Botha's or people of any color really. Here's the place for you. The only reason I have it 4 stars instead of 5 was bcuz one of the staff seemed just a little rude. But then I realized they may have been of another culture. But did get one who was very nice and helpful. So that's that."
