"I used Jax a while back when I had to get from JAX to Tallahassee after landing around midnight. I was concerned about driving such a long way so late at night by myself (i.e., didn’t want to fall asleep driving), so I booked a ride, thinking I would be safer with a professional driver. Since I had a deposition very early the next morning, I thought it would also give me a few hours to rest for my big day. While we made it safely, I really regret my decision of using this company. It was bad from the start. First, the driver was about 20 minutes late picking me up. So unprofessional. Then, 30 minutes in, she says she needs to stop. She pulls into a truck stop and disappears, leaving me in the car for another 20 minutes. It’s now about 1:00 a.m., so not only do I feel unsafe, but I am also upset at losing another chunk of time that I would be able to be in my hotel resting. She eventually comes back with a drink and a ton of food to eat while driving. Umm, talk about unprofessional, not to mention unsafe. If she was hungry, she should have eaten before she picked me up. As we get driving, I start settling in to nap, and then the driver informs me that she’s feeling tired, so she needs me to talk to her to keep her awake. Say what!? That’s the whole reason I booked this car! Do not take a job if you are incapable of completing it safely. I was terrified had to be on alert the entire drive. When you’re hiring a professional driver, you should not have to assist them with their job. There were even a handful of times where we lapsed into silence, and she rolled over the rumble strips. I arrived In Tallahassee a few hours later beyond stressed, and dead tired. Only saving grace is I arrived safely."
