They are simply overwhelmed, and the mechanic I've dealt with, Nick, could care less about getting work done in a timely manner or customer service. I believe Nick's dad owns the business, so Nick realizes dad will keep him working there no matter how bad he performs his job. They do have a very nice gentleman named Pete who works the front desk, but his courtesy and professionalism isn't passed on to Nick. My story of dealing with Nick is too long to type, but trust me, just save yourself the headache of Nick being dismissive and always coming up short in his work. Find yourself a different shop that doesn't have adult siblings riding on dad's business. Mechanics like Nick don't survive in business that aren't owned by their daddy. Trust me, find another shop for your repairs."
