"Train staff was very helpful to my mom as she was on a scooter. They helped us get ready so we can get her off the train in a timely manner. The stations were open and beautiful.and very clean. The train was comfortable and rode very quietly, much better then sitting in traffic and a cramped airline space. Really enjoyed our experience on brightline and would definitely take.it again."
"I had a good experience. I found that the trains were clean and the staff was very friendly and attentive. I had no issues with timeliness on both of my rides. My issue here is that it’s very pricey. I paid $374 to go to Orlando from Fort Lauderdale round trip on their basic fare and one night of parking. That’s it. I didn’t check in luggage or ate. I then had to reschedule my outbound ride and instead of getting reimbursed back to my method of payment for the difference in fare price, as it was cheaper than the previous one, they issued a credit which I find to be absurd at that price point, I want my money back not a credit that I don’t have any use for anytime soon. Now if the train was faster, perhaps it would be more justifiable. This isn’t really a fast train. It takes almost 3 hours to get to Orlando from Fort Lauderdale. It should take no more than an hour or hour and half at most. Europe does it the right way as their trains are fast and affordable, how can the USA not be up to speed yet? The only convenience I found is that it is easy to board and you don’t need to be there more than 20 min before your train departs. At an airport you’d have to be there 2 hours prior plus all the inconveniences that come with flying of course (i.e. checking in luggage, security lines, etc.). The only way it would make sense for me to pay this much would be if it was indeed a fast train. Even so, it’s too much."
"Went on the train this weekend from Orlando to WPB. Everything went great from Orlando to WPB, however the way from WPB to Orlando was a nightmare. First of all we had booked the 7:03pm back to Orlando and decided to move it up earlier to the 6:03pm for an additional $10 fee. We arrived at the terminal about 45 minutes before departure time and were waiting for the train. About 10 minutes before our departure time an announcement was made for a south bound train. My crew tried to go down to the train, but a young Hispanic girl with a short black bob stopped us and said to wait because it wasn’t time for our train yet and an announcement would be made when it was time. All of a sudden it was 10 past 6 when we find out our train has left us!!! There was a group of about 30 people who got left behind. We tried complaining to the manager Thelma to no avail. Supposedly we’re going to get vouchers in our account, but there’s nothing there yet. Very unhappy with the service recovery at the terminal. Thelma was very rude and condescending. She was unable to own up to their mistake and blamed it on non functional radios as to why the announcement wasn’t made. We had to wait another hour for the next train and no compensation for it."
"Cost/Value not there. Pros: On time, clean, neat facilities. Cons: have to pay for parking, get there, pay for luggage, ticket changes, etc. They charge you for everything + don’t miss your train or be ready to pay for another hefty fare. It takes the same time as a car ride if you're going to Orlando."
"I took the train from Fort Lauderdale to Miami and back for a business meeting. I have to say everything about the experience was fantastic. The stations are modern and clean with plenty of options for snacks and drink, keeping in mind that you’re only there for short, while typically. The service on the train was great, and the trains were spotless and the WiFi Service was perfect and free. My experience was that both trains departed and arrived on time and parking was easy and the staff was very polite and helpful. I highly recommend taking the train and avoiding the frustration of traffic."
