"I wasn't sure if I was going to write a review but I honestly can't say I trust returning to resolve the issues I had so I decided I will not return and share my experience. I had purchased a fiberglass cowl hood for my truck and wanted to use someone local to paint it. I found Clunes and I was assured they could do it, no problem. I was excited when I found out it was complete and came over to pick up my truck. It was a rainy morning so all of the defects weren't visible at first. Mind you there were specific instructions included with the hood.....I found out it was never sanded as all the edges were still sharp and rough. It was never prepared properly as paint was literally falling off of it. There were runs and orange peel on the top and bottom of the hood. The logo/brand name Cervini underneath was riddled with runs....an area in which is super difficult to sand flat too start over. Even more disturbing was the clips that hold the grill cage in place had been broken off. I was told it was like that. Are you kidding me? No! It wasn’t! The truck is immaculate. 1 tiny crack along the edge was there and that was it on the entire truck! (I asked for the leftover paint to airbrush that myself at a later date, which they did provide) They obviously didn't take care or use the correct tools to release the clips. There was also bad scratches. It was scratched down to the fiberglass in 4 spots which obviously came from the non-padded folding work table I initially saw them lay the hood on (I never imagined they would use the same table after paint was applied) I told them about the issues and rescheduled to bring the hood in again to get repaired. Once it was "ready" I came to have the hood installed. By the time the hood got put on my truck there was already paint falling off again! Totally insane! I was assured the issues would be corrected but they were busy and couldn't take me back in right away Even though I had already paid! Again it was a rainy morning so I had to wait until later in the day to inspect the rest. I discovered the runs were still there but the scratches were painted over as well as the paint that was falling off covered over. I close the hood and hear a rattle. I pop the hood again to see that none of the hardware for the grill had ever been tightened. Closer inspection revealed there were nuts and bolts even missing. I tightened them myself, purchased replacements for the missing ones and pondered if I would be fooled yet a 3rd time. I can't risk more damage to my truck and surely have no confidence in the proper repair which technically at this point would also require a new grill cage. After my last visit I realized they do not have an oven which is required to properly cure the hood or at least a minimum of 4 hours in direct sunlight which obviously isn't possible in the rain. I was doomed from the start and regret ever coming here. If all you need is Maaco paint job and don't care about the finish or durability they will suit you. This has been nothing but a nightmare and I am totally P'd off. The pictures don't do justice as to how bad it is. I painted better than that when I was 15 years old. Do yourself a favor and don't make the same mistake I did."
"Got my grill replaced on my 2021 q50. They got me in quickly and did a great job. Very quick and reasonable price. Good honest people that work there. Will definitely be back for any future work."
"Don't even think about calling to ask if they work on boats. I was going to call about fixing on a dent on my Tahoe... Not now. Just a small step ahead of being hung up on. An unfortunate 1st impression, or a bad hair day."
"Needed trunk and rear cowl painted on my wifes 2011 red Miata. Got 3 estimates and Clunes auto body on harborview was the definite winner. Did a beautiful job and perfect color match( not easy with an 11 yr old red car). Nice people to work with and done in a timely manner. Other 2estimates were outrageous with 1 being over double the amount and the other over 4 times Clunes price. I wouldn’t take a car anywhere else."
"I Called several auto body places for a estimate on repainting a new white service truck to bronze, calling before i decided to purchase the vehicle so i knew how much the vehicle would end up costing me in the end. The Only auto body shop that would even talk to me about an estimate with out seeing the truck was Clunes, did on the phone, so after i made the purchase and brought it to him to see- the estimate stood!!! and he was the least expensive of 6 places i checked. one was 4 times as much ! And the paint job was awesome, much better than i even expected for a work truck. looks like it came factory!!!!....thank you very much Clunes!!!"
