"Really Great Bodega! Got the spinach & artichoke, chicken, & beef empanadas, all hit the spot but I was partial to the chicken. Cafe con leche was strong & delicious. Cookie & Brownie was very good, partial to the chocolate chip cookie. AND the peanut butter cheesecake!!! If I lived here, I would be a regular."
"This little bodega is awesome. Their empanadas are delicious. They also offer sandwiches, like a Reuben. Can’t wait to try it. Nice selection of pastries, too. Laid back place but high quality fare. Don’t miss it is you are anywhere near Port Tampa."
"I just moved back to the area and the first time I just stopped by with my son to grab a drink after going to the playground and it had such a great vibe. The guy behind the counter even gave my son a treat (very appreciative, since I forgot snacks). But I just went in today to get lunch since I work from home nearby. I ordered a Cuban and got a slice of Oreo pie. The Cuban was fantastic and the pork was very good, whoever's recipe that is really knows their stuff. We're absolutely stuffed which is great because my son woke up from his nap before we got a chance to open the pie! I guess I'll have to wait till he goes to bed to eat dessert!"
"I just tried the Cuban (no lettuce or tomato, of course), a stuffed potato and a "homemade" stuffed yuca (think deviled crab only with seasoned ground beef and yuca). The food is outstanding. They also have a steam table with daily lunch specials and a dessert refrigerator that looks delicious. The Cuban is a little non-traditional as it is loaded with Cuban pork. Still it's off the charts. You can call it a store as it carries a small selection of spanish products but it's all about the food. I'll be back."
"Finally had the chance to stop in Sal’s after passing it all the time. To my surprise it’s a cute little store that has some basic grocery and a deli in the back. They sell desserts and out back is a food truck associated with the shop. They serve Puerto Rican food and I hear their fried fish and Cubans are great. I had a tiramisu from their shop and it was perfect! Super tasty! Glad to know this is available in the neighborhood!"
