"What a great company. Took my brand new 2024, VW Golf R to have lowering springs, front splitter, side skirts and new rims put on. Great depth of knowledge and provided personal opinion on the style I wanted. This the best garage/mechanic/VW specialist, I have ever utilized."
"The owner of the company is a very respectable and friendly person! Not to mention very honest, he kept in contact with me the whole time about my 2007 VW GTI after I picked up my car. I noticed that the fog lights were not working. I text him to let him know. I took my car back although it was the bulbs he replaced them for free and he did not charge me. His employees are also very nice and respectable. I highly recommend anybody to go there."
"TL;DR - This shop is by far the WORST experience I’ve had of my life in dealing with a mechanic. The owner Josh did not and will not admit that one of his mechanics ruined a brand new turbo on my MK8 GTI. Instead of replacing the turbo like he should have done from the beginning he held my car hostage for 6 weeks until I finally gave in and bought a 3rd Turbo. 3 turbos in 2 months is not acceptable! Now let me explain, back around June 15th I blew the first turbo for this car being stupid and I totally own that. I was dumb and paid for it. $3,500 to be exact. At that time Josh advised that the MK8 Golf is so new that there was no way to fix or rebuild the turbo. Okay no problem, I had him completely replace it and paid the bill. At this point I had only good things to say about the experience. But that’s when the biggest auto repair nightmare of my life would start. When I picked the car up Josh was out of town so his partner Eddie was there instead. 2 blocks away the check engine light comes on. I bring it back to Eddie and come to find out one of them left the oil cap loose and it blew off, flying onto the side of the road and spewing oil all over the engine bay so,Eddie drives me down the road to look for it. Thank god he somehow saw it and we were able to retrieve it and put back on properly. Now I've got oil all over my engine bay so,they proceed hose it down w a pressure washer. Not the biggest fan of pressure washing my 2k mile old engine bay but okay, whatever. I’m just happy I finally got my new car back in working order. About 4 days later the brand new turbo started to whine and flutter really bad. Feeling an overwhelming sense of anxiety and hopelessness I pop off the intake pipe and what do I find? See pic 2. Yep,almost the same exact damage that the car was just in for. The thing is,anyone that knows cars knows that turbos are sealed systems when it comes to large debris. There is almost NO WAY something just happened to get into the Intake from just driving the car. What more than likely(Most definitely)happened was whoever was putting the intake back on didn’t pay attention to the rubber oring on the turbo inlet,it was forced on with half of the oring in the path of the intake where the turbo pulls in air. Just that simple,or some other debris was left in the pathway by his shop. Auto manufacturers go to great lengths to make sure that you can’t just“suck”debris into turbos,if they didn’t factory turbos would fail in this way ALL THE TIME.After a 2nd,3rd&4th opinion it is very apparent that whatever it was that caused the damage was something left in the intake area. Now,this was Josh’s make or break moment for me to see if he was an honest mechanic like his website claims or just another shady shop that won’t take responsibility for a HUGE mistake. Josh was immediately in defense mode and completely lacked any sense of accountability or empathy towards the situation. Also, the method of repair drastically changed, now all the sudden the“too new”turbo that couldn’t be rebuilt before now magically could be.It’s almost like Josh knew that telling me to pony up another 3k dollars for a completely new (3rd turbo)wasn’t going to cut it and he needed a way out while also not having to take the blame. So,the turbo was pulled out and taken to Boost Lab to be rebuilt. What Josh should have done at this time was apologetically offer to replace the turbo that his shop completely ruined but, that was wishful thinking. Now,once it was at Boost Lab the“too new”turbo excuse began to rear its ugly head once again. Boost lab first said 3 weeks, then 4, then 5. Finally, after six weeks I couldn’t go any longer w/o a car so I gave in and bought a 3rd new turbo(yep#3). Not only did I have to buy that but Josh also charged me labor to put it in. Boost Lab has yet to contact me to this day. 3 turbos later on a 4 month 2k mile old car! ThxJosh!"
"Someone told me about DAS autowerks years ago but I only took my car to Brandon VW since that's where I purchased my VW CC. My husband actually used to ask me why I insisted on using Brandon VW due to their high prices. But I felt like it was better to take my car to the dealership for repairs. After a not so pleasant experience with Brandon VW I told myself I wouldn't be taking my car back ever again. I decided to take a chance and take my car to DAS and I'm really glad I did. I believe I've found an honest dependable mechanic shop. I waited to write this review because I wanted to use them a few times to make sure I wasn't sing their praises too soon. Plus I'm just really sceptical of mechanics. This shop has continuously done good work. I tell everybody when they ask who does repairs on my car to take their car to DAS. My mother recently took her BMW to them and she is also very happy with their work. But hey, don't take my word for it. Take your car and see for yourself. I'm sure you won't be disappointed!"
"Came in for a timing chain, misfire and other maintenance. Great service and very competitive pricing. Josh and Eddie are honest and great mechanics. I’m new to the area and this will definitely be my go-to shop for my Audi. 100% Recommended!"
