Reviews of Top Job Auto Repair
"They always take care of my vehicles when I need them. Always quick to check out your vehicle even when it’s busy. I’ve never had a problem getting a quote on a fix super quick when i needed it. I think i found a great reliable mechanic shop for years to come. Thanks a lot Top Job Auto Repair! (EDIT as of 02/08/24) There’s a phenomenon that happens when you take your car to the mechanic and leave with a new issue. Most of the time it’s just a coincidence, but after so many coincidences, it has to be the truth. I took my one of my cars here for a new AC compressor. On the drive home my car is squealing. I take it back and they say I need a new tensioner. Ok whatever, things happens, must be a coincidence. Then I take my other car. This is where the phenomenon must be truth. I get my starter replaced. The next day my car won’t start at the gas station. I call Diego and he says try starting it in Neutral, when it worked he said it must be my transmission range sensor. Ok then either I never needed a starter or this is just a coincidence. I shrug my shoulder, keep it moving and just forget about it. 3 months later my starter goes out. They do replace it on warranty but this is where things get weird. They replace the starter at the shop and Diego himself, a man of 30 years plus experience, drives my car back around to the front, leaves it running and says I’m good to go. I get into the car and immediately can tell something is not right. For one, my check engine light is on (my check engine light has never been on), also my car is idling so badly and so loud (never been that way). I try to shrug it off and I drive a bit up the road thinking maybe the new starter had to settle in. That’s when I realized ain’t no way this has anything to do with a starter. I did a u-turn and bring it back. Diego takes the car in and shows me there is a misfire on cylinder 3. I ask how did that happen, it wasn’t doing that when I brung it in. He claims my spark plug wires were old and when the tech was pulling around they must’ve gotten dislodge and made contact with the exhaust causing the spark. Ok, why did I have to pay $130 for this mistake when it wasn’t my fault, old or not. No worries, I take that on the chin. New spark plug wires and new starter, I’m good to go. I get on the road and my transmission feels like it’s slipping. WHAT THE H* so I’m like what are the odds my transmission is slipping/jerking RIGHT after I leave the shop. I drive around for almost a week, risking my business vehicle and my jobs I had scheduled hoping the car would make it. At this point I didn’t even contact them back because it seemed like I had a new issue every time I came so I took it to another mechanic and paid for a diagnostic, but without a engine light, they couldn’t diagnose the issue. They say keep an eye on it. After losing my mind and thinking my transmission is going out, i go out for a drive in hopes to get some error light or for my car to break down so I can figure out the issue. As I’m driving down the road, the engine light finally pops. What is it? Misfire on cylinder 5, next to cylinder 3. I go buy a spark plug thinking that’s the issue. Then I pull the wire to spark plug 5 and it slides off like butter. The wire was making no connection to the spark plug because the housing inside the spark plug wire was stuck onto the spark plug. The wire basically wasn’t even attached to the spark plug. So I go and buy another set of wires after i already paid Diego for a full new set. Another $65 gone. After I fixed the wires, the problem was gone and the check engine light/code disappeared. This was a very shoddy job by Top Job Auto Repair. I gave 3 stars because I think it is fair. I’m sure they didn’t do it on purpose, but I’m sure they didn’t give me a top job. I’m disappointed he’d ever give me my car back with a check engine light and idling badly. The problem wasn’t that the part was bad, it was/is the labor. That is my justification for 3 stars. It may be too kind to be honest."
"Diego and Jeff are the best mechanics in town. Always honest, always fair and it’s fixed the first time! They recently took care of my 2007 Buick and made it feel and run great again! May God bless them and keep them healthy!"
"I have been going to Top Job Auto Repair for 10+ years and Diego and his team are simply the best in the business. The team there values their clients and I am truly thankful for them. I took my 2009 Scion XD which ended up having quite a bit of work done (Struts, shocks, lower Control arm, battery, transmission mount, front brakes and oil change). Diego has always been honest and if he didn't think it was worth fixing, he would say something. After picking up my car, I felt like I was driving a new car off the lot. Well worth the time, wait and price. This place has been an absolute blessing. Keep up the great work."
"I work on my own cars and had an issue taking out a spanner nut from a inner tie rod. Brought it in and they did it in 5 minutes for free! I even tried to offer but they didn't take it. On top of that they even taught me how to take out the spanner nut. This place is awesome and so kind, HIGHLY RECOMMEND"
"Diego and Jeff are Greatest at what they do. I wouldn't be on the road for not Top Job auto repair as I have an older car. I will never use any other shop for anything but Top Job Auto Repair. Honor and Prestige is what this shop represents. If you love your car only come here and you will be super Happy. This shop is three Words Intensity, Integrity, and Intelligence. Thank you Very Much."
