Reviews of ALDI
"Very affordable, nutritious and organized. Aldi simply is my favorite grocery store brand, and this a great location as well. I go to them on the regular and enjoy it every time."
"I have learned to love Aldi as a brand. The prices are great and if you know what you can and cannot get there, you will do well in the long run…financially. This location however, is ALWAYS *FILTHY*. It’s closest to my home, adjacent to a well cared for Target, and in an excellent location. One would expect the cleanliness that reflects Aldi’s brand and suburban location. However on walking up I am always greeted by overflowing garbage receptacles, pavement that is covered in gunk and floors inside that are perpetually filthy. I’m not so much concerned about the self check out stations as I am about how gross they are. On my last trip there, I didn’t even want to place my shopping bag on the collection side of the scanner or have the food Touch the machine at all. And none of the others were in a better state. The staff or management clearly doesn’t care about the condition of the store during business hours and I’ve visited as many as. 3x in a week so my sample size is pretty robust. Each time I go hoping that it will have been cleaned up and am sorely disappointed. This has been for the better part of a year… and this location is MAYBE 3 years old. I won’t be returning to this store and will patronize other locations; I can’t stomach buying my food in a place that looks icky. Very off brand for this clean, no-nonsense brand."
"I use to LOVE ALDI’s but lately, they have gone to self serve registers. The main reason I don’t like this is that 1) You are taking jobs away from PEOPLE. Like times aren’t tough enough. 2) I pay cash. You can not use cash at their self serve registers. The last 3 times I have had to wait, ask for, then wait again for an employee to ring me up. Today, after waiting, asking for help, being told someone “should be” out there. Not, let me help you or let me get you someone to help you, just there “should be” someone out there. I left."
"I went to Aldi for the first time ever yesterday and I must say it was a pleasant experience. The items are out and easily accessible and the prices are a steal. There’s self checkout and regular checkout lines. Be sure to bring your reusable bags because I don’t think they provide bags and also a quarter to get a shopping cart. Besides the cart being a bit difficult to dislodge, it was a pretty good experience"
"Loved Aldi’s prices but now that they only have self check out I’m not sure the discount is worth it. I had a cart full of groceries and I asked a manager if I could have someone check me out and he said only if I had cash. Strange, since the registers accept credit. I spent over 15 minutes checking out and bagging and that was with help! If I was alone it probably would have taken longer. This is a VERY bad customer service move. I think I’ll only stop in if I need a few things, but will probably stick with Trader Joe’s!"
