"Store was closed a long time, and when reopened seems a bit improved. I guess I was waiting for bigger changes! Friendly staff, a nice place to shop!"
"Newly renovated, this Winn-Dixie took shape and form as the many other updated Winn-Dixies with recently developed halls, colors, setting, products and a new logo. I personally love all the organic fruits and veggies we hadn't previously seen in other Winn-Dixies as well as their 100% grass-fed beef, pasture raised eggs, sprouted bread from Food For Life, their orange juice (not from concentrate) and Cleveland Kraut. Very happy to see Harmless Harvest and Organic Valley items in here too. And major shout-out to their Pecan flour and Almond flour. They also now have self-checkout if you're into that. My only small gripe with this location would be the lack of quality brands in specific departments. Would love to have seen Applegate Organics in the deli area. There's genuinely no good hot dog and ham/turkey brands at this location. Would've loved to have purchased some cookies by Simple Mills' Almond Flour line, wheat crackers from Mary's Gone Crackers, popcorn by Lesser Evil, granola by either Wildway, Bakery on Main or Purely Elizabeth. An avocado based mayonnaise of any brand, coconut palm sugar of any brand, some monkfruit would've been cool to spot as well as Coconut Secret for soy sauce alternatives. Pressure-cooked beans from Eden. Shakes/immunity drinks from Rebbl. Grass-fed burger patties and even those Craize crackers they once sold were pretty cool too. All these brands are available at other Winn-Dixies which puts them over this one by a small margin considering this one here has a very nice atmosphere to it. I must also point out, I love the fact they have ghee by the brand Truly Grassfed. That brand is phenomenal and it's the first time I've seen it outside of The Fresh Market. Other than that, I can easily walk into this Winn-Dixie and get all the items I truly need. Great shopping. So far so clean."
"Should have stayed closed to be honest. I wouldn’t buy meat or produce from these people unless you enjoy paying for expired food. No sell by dates on meat packages, rust on so much of the canned goods, and no accountability. Good thing Aldi is taking over."
"They have been renovating this store for a while and I was excited for it to be finished. The grand reopening was last week; I was hopeful. Ever heard the expression, “you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig”? (No offense to pigs intended.) Honestly, I saw nothing different - it seemed the same as before the reno . The produce section of the store is very lacking; brown spots on items and a lack of items (such as non-organic celery). The center area had pretty, colorful peppers, but overall the produce was just not up to par. Everything I looked at in the store was at least a dollar or two more than the other popular Miami supermarket, even with the discount. The worst part was the employees. I begrudge no one or the language they speak, and my language skills other than English are admittedly lacking, but I try. I asked an employee where the “Dixie cups,” “bathroom cups,” were. She did not even try to help me - she pointed to the service desk with a long line to go ask them. Ah no thanks. I found another person and asked her, she did not understand me either, despite trying to motion with my hands. (Neither employee seemed to understand English, or perhaps just did not want to help me.) Seems they don’t have bathroom cups here as I finally walked every aisle looking. I did manage to find $30 worth of overpriced stuff to buy so I could use my $5 coupon. Not all was bad. I love self check out. The store seemed clean. And, they have the BEST little carts. The parking lot is big with lots of spots. Getting out onto either Sunset or Galloway is tricky because there is so much traffic. I may give the store another chance, but jury is still out on that."
"Large, clean, and well stocked. Possibly not as great as Publix but still pretty good. The produce looks ok. The starfruit and golden dragon fruit looked a little old and damaged. There are spiny and Maine lobster tails available at the seafood section. By the checkout, there some unique popsicles available"
