"The people who run this place are a joke Thomas who hired me tried to steal 500 dollars from me and my friend check and tried to lie and say we didn’t work the hours for it when we clearly signed a contract with them explaining what we would be getting paid at The end of the month we had to threaten to call the labor board for them to even listen to us , I witnessed with my own eyes my boss Thomas cleaning the 4th and 5th grade bathrooms. At the villages charter school with a dirty toilet brush don’t work here , if u read this and still try and get a job their , u deserve to get your money taken I just wished I woulda found these before getting hired"
"If anyone ever needs commercial janitorial services, or sees an ad for workers needed for American Janitorial, PLEASE DO NOT INQUIRE! The business is very shady and they do not pay their employees what they are told. Thomas promises hours that they don't give to employees. The owner Thomas Donahue has an account with the Charter Schools, and was using a toilet brush, that he stuck in the toilet, to clean the sinks in the school! He also does not answer the phone when he does not pay his workers!!"
"From misclassifying employees as independent contractors, charging employees for workmans comp insurance and not paying for all hours worked they are shady. Im not sure if their ignorance in fl. employee laws is the fault of management or the owners but the liability that they place their company and their accounts in is unbelievable. Im surprised that former and present employees havent filed a class action suit to reclaim monies stolen from their paychecks . And they claim to be religious. What a joke."
"If I could give them no stars I would! Huge SCAMMERS and very disrespectful to their employees or should I say, Thomas and maina they both have no respect for their employees and obviously don't know much about anything. Also, they give their employees more responsibility than what is in contracts! And they also do not offer to compensate for the extra work the employees do and if it isn't done, they are threatened to be fired! They also make you use materials that aren't as affect which makes the work more difficult. I say without the CEO being there to actually see what's going on, things would be different for them or maybe He's just being informed."
"DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! AJI is a scam! They over charge their clients, pay their independent contractors (yes, independent contractor) under minimum wage, and set them up for failure by not properly training them. Whenever a client complaints about a staff member, the management team of AJI instigate the situation by talking about the staff to the client (i know for a fact from clients testimonies) and assures the client that it won't happen again (meaning switching the staff out) instead of educating the staff and building them in confidence of how to properly fix the clients complaint. They have a manager named Thomas who discriminates and does not practice equality!! He would rather switch the staff over and over versus paying hard workers a fair pay. I once told Thomas in a conversation we were having that a strong company is based on a strong team and his reply was that's not how this company works (meaning people are easily replacable). He also asked me one day when we met for a meeting "did you just get out of a Mercedes? Because if you did I was going to say we are paying you too much". And then starting laughing in my face. Mind you, I was getting paid roughly between $3- $9 per visit per account which he was very much aware off. No wonder you guys have so many work orders/complaints.Who is going to break their backs when all you do is cheat people from fair earned money? Worst company ever. Supporting them is like supporting slavery."
