Reviews of Publix Super Market at Westcreek Commons
"Always pleasant and helpful staff. Lovely bright clean store My favorite place to shop! Flora in the deli Is the greatest. Thank you for making this easy for me always."
"Absolutely CLUELESS employees and manager. I’ve shopped here for years. Tried to buy alcohol, because I’m 33 and legally can, and the manager looked at my temporary ID that the DMV gives until the laminated replacement shows up and said he couldn’t accept it because he had no idea what it was. What?! How in the world can a MANAGER be so completely idiotic that they don’t know a temporary ID from the DMV is legally valid just like a laminated ID. I also don’t look NEAR under 21 (or 30, for that matter). He was also insanely rude about it, on the weekend of Christmas no less. I’ll never go to this location or any other publix again. Maybe upper management can train their staff better, or hire people who aren’t entirely clueless. By the way, would cleaning up spills in the middle of aisles before an hour passes really hurt the employees here so much? I watched not one but TWO customers slip and almost injure themselves within 10 minutes. Incredible."
"In my humble, yet blunt, opinion: This location deserves a 1.5 rating. But definitely not a 2, so they get a 1 The first issue with this location is that alot of times, some of the sale items of the week are almost always out of stock. Particularly the BoGo's. "We should get more next truck." When does the next truck arrive? "Uh?...Umm?...Not sure." How do you work at a place for a lengthy amount of time and don't know the delivery schedule? Also, why do you let yourself run out of items you're putting on sale for the week?? Another issue with this location, and probably the biggest issue, is the deli. This department is a complete joke. From managers to most of the staff. The deli manager is Stephanie. I've seen her maybe 100 different times, and have yet to see her smile. She is one of the most unhappy looking people I have ever seen. And on the few times I spoke to her, to give positive feedback about an emplyee: never got a "thank you" and felt like I was bothering her. She just doesn't seem very pleasant. Randy, the assistant manager, looks to be completely useless. It doesn't matter if there's 14 customer's waiting, while the phone rings and there's only two employees behind the counter, he doesn't do anything. He's usually stocking tuna salad, breaking down a box, or walking in front of you without a simple "hello" or "excuse me". Sometimes he'll say: "We'll be right with you guys" from the customer side of the counter, but who's "we" when "he" doesn't do anything??? At least the deli manager will jump on a slicer, answer the phone, and/or help customer's. But in my experience, I want Randy's job. Because he's a manager, who gets manager pay and is useless. What a nice gig he's got. The other issue with the department is some of the staff. I had an experience today, when I asked for a half of a pound of Genoa salami, shaved. The lady told me point blank: "No. I'm not shaving. It's too much work. I'll cut it thin." A family member has bad teeth and digestive problems, so having the salami shaved makes eating a little bit better experience for them. Another employee gave me a dirty look when I asked for a BH ham sub, with Maple Ham, instead of deluxe. She then sighed and said she would have to cut it, before saying some "vulay vookoo shay" in some foreign language, out loud. I won't get into about what happened after she cut deluxe ham again, even though I had requested Maple, because she wasn't paying attention. But what the hell is this??? We got a manager who looks like she wants to cry, a useless assistant, and employees who flat out say "no" and appear as though they're talking about you in some foreign language. Which is extremely offensive btw. This department is a joke. The only two bright spots in this department are two employees. One is Jerry, and the other is Hector. Jerry is always friendly, makes it a point to come say "hello" very attentitive, always doing something, and very genuine. Hector is the same way. Always says "hello", asks about my family, makes suggestions on different items in the department, offers samples, and brings a very different energy to the department with a simple smile and hello. The last issue, which also happened today, was with a manager of the grocery department. His name was either Josh, or Jose. I had mentioned to one of the grocery employees about my experience in the deli. During my conversation, I had mentioned that speaking to a manager about some concerns was pointless, because nothing gets done. As has been my experience. The grocery manager, who I had spoken to in the past and didn't realize he was listening while facing products on a shelf, stood up, looked at me like I had just peed in his soup, shook his head and said: "Really?" Like he was gonna fight me. Again, this is the grocery manager. Third in line behind the store manager and store assistant manager. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I recommend shopping at the WalMart down the street. At least you expect this stuff from there employees. Publix used to be better and higher standard"
"I rarely come to this location since it’s out of my way. It contains most of the items that other Publix locations carry. I picked up pizza dough, produce, and a few other items. The produce selection was good. The pizza dough was actually better from here. I’ve had some issues with the pizza dough from other locations. I’ve never liked the parking lot design because it’s too tight for navigating with a larger vehicle. I appreciate the decision to keep the trees after all these years. It helps to cool down the area. The employees always seem friendly and polite. Sorry, they don’t have self-checkout here."
"The staff here are always kind and knowledgeable. Only taking the star off bc sometimes I order online, they mark an item "out of stock", and I walk into the store and buy it off the shelf. Considering how great the staff are, it's probably an inventory system problem. Please fix!"
